Rowenta IXEO Steamer for Clothes with Ironing Board, 1500W, Black

They changed the design! I bought this product in 2020 for $179 at Bloomingdale’s. It was a very respectable design. I used it for over 5 years until I dropped the iron while moving and broke it. I order a new Rowena and when I get the box I see the design has completely changed. The plastic is right next to the heated iron so the smell is awful as I am ironing. I have a small laundry room and am coughing at the burning plastic smell. The product is cheaper and mostly plastic now including the water tank. Not worth almost double price I paid for. Bring the old design back please! I am unfortunately returning this and going to find something that is not plastic and burns as I iron!

Like the ease of ironing all clothes and linens. It is light, and the fact that we don’t have to regulate temperature is just awesome.

The steam works great and does the job well, but the construction could use some improvement. The ironing board has a plastic base, and since it’s something you have to use daily, I don’t think it will last more than 5 months before breaking. It would also be nice if it came with a rotating hanger with shoulders to better fit men’s t-shirts. Overall, I’m still getting used to it, but the performance of the steam itself is solid.

I've only had the steamer for 8 months and it's already stopped working. The unit is heard running, the water tank gets hot but no steam comes out of it only water drips from the iron. Big waste of $250

I like the versatility of this product. I have been a Rowenta customer for many years. I find the board a little bit too small for ironing though.

I love everything about this product with one exception: the wheels are very small and inefficient at moving the steamer from place to place. It has been very difficult to move on carpet and hard surfaces. If that is corrected, it would be perfect!

Easy to use and heats up fast. The board helps to flatten out the wrinkles. The water reservoir is small compared to the size of the unit.

I received this for Christmas in 2024. It quit working by January of 2025! Very expensive waste of money!

I like to iron certain things, but in my new home, I don't have place for an ironing board and a steam generator. This all in one is perfect for our smaller space

Great concept, the board is a little short, but over all it’s the best product in the market that I have seen and so far. I would recommend this product to my friends.

I broke down a month and a half after I bought it. Steam didn't work, only water flowed and I asked them for service. After that, I received the product and there was no email about how long it would take to repair anything wrong. Also, I emailed them saying that steam smells weird when using the product after repair, but they didn't reply. I thought it would be comfortable because it has an ironing board attached, and I prefer German products, so I buy appliances. But I'm very disappointed with their service

The setup is alright but the overall functionality is really just okay and not that much of an improvement of the current iron options with a much more limited surface area to work on than the traditional ironing board. There needs to be a way to control how much steam you can produce along with an alert of how much water is left.

I bought my steamer a few years ago and use it as an alternative to sending anything out to be pressed or dry cleaned. It’s saved me a lot of money on that front. Once I put it together – which wasn’t very hard to do – I realize that the table was a bit wobbly when you’re moving it but otherwise it’s steady when you’re using it. It is an investment in money and in space. I think it’s designed for people who have separate laundry rooms as opposed to me where I have it in the corner of my bedroom next to my closet so it can be used often in hindsight, I don’t think I would buy this again - not because it’s not good, but rather because of how much space it takes. I think I would’ve been fine with a high powered iron and separate steamer as needed. To each his own and we all learn over time.

The unit was dead on arrival. I plugged it in and nothing happened, no lights, nothing. This is unusual for Rowena but still, it shouldn't happen.

I have been using the Ixeo for more than a year and love it. I can use it standing or sitting, flat like a normal iron board or at an angle or vertical. It's great as a garment steamer and great in my sewing studio as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before attempting to assemble and use the Rowenta IXEO All-In-One Iron & Steamer Solution, I read the entire enclosed instructions thoroughly to familiarize myself with it. The assembly process went very smoothly. Once assembled and the water tank setup and filled, it was time to turned on, I was surprised at how fast it heated up. The board can be height adjusted, used in both a vertical or horizontal position. If I choose to set it in the horizontal position and lower the height I can conveniently use it while I'm sitting down. The iron/steamer sits perfectly into the attached cradle rest, is super lightweight and easy to hold and maneuver. It doesn't take up much space in my laundry room and I like that it has wheels making for easy movement. A real plus for me is the auto shut off, it will go into standby mode after being idle for about eight minutes and completely shut down after thirty-eight. I will be honest I was a little nervous about using it for the first time, so I practiced on a few older pieces of clothing that all had different types of fabric. I got the hang of it pretty quickly, and before long I was comfortable with steaming things such as pillows and curtains. I have been using the Rowenta IXEO for the past couple of months and I'm constantly raving about how great it performs, and convenient it is, while recommending it to family and friends.

I love the portability and how I can hide it in my closet and pull it out when I need it. The setup itself is a little heavy.. in only 100 lbs so I need to use my strength to move it around. This might not be a problem for stronger people, but it was a downfall for myself. I do love that I have the option to iron or if I need to steam something it’s at the tip of my fingertips. It does have its pros and cons like anything else. I do feel that the ironing board could be a little bit bigger for garments that may be larger Or longer in size. Overall this has come in as a lifesaver for my business. I used to own a very small steamer that would require me to fill up after steaming a few things, this tank holds enough water for me to steam a lot more! If you have hard water make sure to clean your stuff periodically as it does leave calcification residue on the iron. Overall I give this a B+ . It definitely gets the job done for my small business!
