There’s no chemical or plastic smell at all, which was one of my main concerns when switching from plastic containers. The glass is completely odor free right out of the box, and it doesn’t absorb food smells over time like plastic does. Cleaning these containers is super easy. The clear glass bowls are dishwasher safe, so I just pop them in after use and they come out sparkling clean. The smooth glass surface doesn’t stain or hold onto food residue, and everything washes off easily. The lids are also easy to clean, though I hand wash them to keep them in good shape. Appearance wise, these containers look beautiful! The clear glass lets you see exactly what’s inside without opening them, and the multi colored lids in yellow, blue, and purple add a fun pop of color to my fridge and pantry. They look clean and organized when stacked, way nicer than my old mismatched plastic containers. The glass has a quality, thick look to it that feels premium. Weight is the only consideration here. Why someone thought it was a good idea to package glass within glass is beyond me. Now I have large and small pieces of glass all over my clothes and carpet. And yes, that is my 2 month old baby in the back, she was playing just 4 feet away, and thankfully cannot crawl yet so remained in place while I cleaned up this mess.

I prefer more of a square or circular container that has straight edges rather than curving in at the bottoms. The lids are also a little hard to get off. They do seem like they are pretty air tight though. The lids seem like they may not last a long time depending on how often you wash.

I wanted to love these more than I do though. The lids are easy to close but opening them on the other hand is way too difficult. I wanted to give this a higher rating but because taking the lids off is too difficult I have to keep this at 3 stars.
