Glad Step Trash Can, Series 2 Soft Close Bin with Odor Protection, 20 Gal, Metal

I photographed the one that I received for free from glad and the original one that I had. I had a very expensive hands-free garbage can. But the amount of money I spent in batteries, even if I tried to use the rechargeable ones is just ridiculous. After having a hands-free garbage, can I realize it’s just better to have a standard garbage can that you open with your foot(the only benefit of a hands-free garbage can is if you’re in a wheelchair because you can’t step on them pedal, otherwise a regular garbage can works for everybody ). The one that I had was 13 gallons, but the one that I received for free from Glad is 20 gallons and you can see it’s a huge difference. We have to throw out the garbage less. This is ideal for people who live in a walk up or just have a large home and the garbage out is a chore. My roommates love it. They’re so happy because they don’t like having to take the garbage out every two days now we do it every three or four days. It looks beautiful and it’s super functional. My roommates were really irritated with the previous garbage can because whenever the batteries would die. It would take a while to replace them so they had to open the bin with their hands after trying multiple times to get it to open by waving their hands . Now all they have to do is press the pedal and it works every single time. So much easier. Thank you so much for this garbage. Can you guys have no idea literally how much you made everyone in this house happier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trashcan is very large and heavy duty. All I had to do was take it out of the box and it was ready to go. It opens easily by the foot pedal and closes gently. It has been holding up great. It looks nice in the kitchen too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice trash can. It’s a large and holds a lot more trash than my old one. The soft lid is great and it closes smoothly and quietly. The can itself feels very sturdy. There’s a spot behind the trashcan for trash bags, which makes it easy to grab one when needed. I just wish the trash bag holder was removable so the trashcan could sit closer to the wall. Overall, it’s a big sturdy trash can and I would recommend it.

I was genuinely surprised at the quality of this Glad Step Trash Can when I opened the box. It was fully assembled and packaged well with no problems. I love the shiny metal feature. It matches our appliances in the kitchen perfectly. The pedal works with ease and the lid has a slow close feature so it won't slam. Bags are stored in the bag with easy access and install into the can simple using the bars to keep bag in place. Had to find a spot in the kitchen as it is a 20 gal can and bigger than our last one. We found it and it's a nice fit.
