  • A: DON'T use oven-proof glass or oven-proof stoneware in small toaster ovens or counter-top ovens. The heating elements are too close to the dish, (unlike in a regular oven), and it will break the dish. DO use stainless steel, or aluminum shallow pans that will comfortably fit in the toaster oven, to bake in. I even have an older enamel-coated steel shallow baking pan from a small oven that finally quit working many years ago, that fits in my toaster oven, that works well.

    Missing rubber for traction on leg

    Turning the disks are made cumbersome since a rubber is missing from the rear right leg/stand. As simple as this missing piece it makes it difficult to turn the dials. You have to use two hands to stop the oven from moving around.

    Died in under 2 years

    Purchased this little oven in December 2024 and it died in August 2026. Not even 2 years of use. Did not toast bread uniformly, had to watch even on low setting. Small size is a pro and con. Pro-doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Con-doesn't hold a lot of food. Also have to be careful with small size not to burn top of thicker food, i.e. piece of chicken. Didn't like the way the crumb tray was on the inside of the toaster oven. Had to tilt the oven forward when removing so as not to drop crumbs into the bottom of the oven. I would not purchase again, nor would I recommend this to a friend based on the lack of longevity,

    Quality

    I've owned and used many inexpensive models of toaster ovens previously. I regret I hadn't purchased this brand before. From the first moments when unpacking my new Hamilton Beach toaster oven I noted the superb care in packing. When I removed the oven from its wrap it was unmarred. The direction booklet was written without complications and was easy to understand. It stressed safety: I hadn't realized previously that I should unplug the oven after use. This oven has 3 heights for specific types of baking and cooking. There are also multiple other features and designs the other brands don't have. It's light in weight, yet sturdy. I haven't used it long, so I don't know how it cleans up.

    In desperate need :)

    I am on a tight budget and I was in desperate need of a little toaster oven because I didn’t want to keep turning on my oven and running out my electric bill. I used it and it was perfect. I did salmon and potatoes, they came out perfect. Easy to use,cute and just big enough for somebody who’s single and just needs a little oven to cook dinner.
