CeraVe AM Face Moisturizer SPF 30 is an oil-free daily facial moisturizing lotion with SPF 30, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide that offers UV protection, and contains ceramides to help restore the skin's barrier. This CeraVe face moisturizer with sunscreen is a hydrating facial lotion that spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, and leaves a non-greasy finish. Non-comedogenic face sunscreen won't clog pores, so is suitable for all skin types. This CeraVe sunscreen moisturizer features three essential ceramides, hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology to supply much-needed moisture throughout the day. Sunscreen for face is allergy tested, oil-free, fragrance-free, and developed with dermatologists.

How to Use:
Use this daily face sunscreen as the last step in a morning skincare routine. If layering with an eye cream, moisturizer or facial serum, apply CeraVe AM facial lotion after other product applications have been fully absorbed
Unlock the pump for first time use by twisting it to the left and pressing down several times until the product comes out. Note: You may actually have to press down on the pump as many as 10-20 times to initially begin dispensing lotion.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure
Reapply at least every 2 hours
Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating
Children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor
Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including:

  • A: Yes, absolutely. If I happen to go to the beach I bring along a stronger sunscreen to reapply. Everyday for at least 5 years or more I have religiously used this lotion putting it on once a day before foundation/ concealer. (I also use it on my neck and décolletage). It’s light enough to soak in and not leave greasy residue. The higher spf’s tend to get chalkier so I like this texture a lot. Plus I have oily skin and swear by this stuff. I hope this helps :)

However, individual reactions can vary. If sunscreen gets into your eyes, it's always recommended to rinse thoroughly with water. Regarding the white cast, this lotion can sometimes leave a slight white residue, especially if applied too heavily. We suggest starting with a smaller amount and rubbing it in thoroughly. If you still find it too white, we offer other CeraVe sunscreens with different textures and finishes that might be a better fit.

    No longer a good product

    I've used this as my daily moisturizer for many, many years. I've always loved it and recommended it to others. I just bought a new bottle, and it seems to be a completely different product. My face is so greasy, it's disgusting. My kids don't even want to touch my face. I don't see how you can justify the increasing price and the decreasing quality. You've lost a formerly devoted customer.

    CLUMPS, BALLS UP AND DOES NOT APPLY EVENLY

    I started using this AM moisturizer in 2016 and had no complaints. Since this last change in formula, I have nothing but complaints. When attempting to apply this moisturizer, it clumps, balls up, and does not evenly spread. It also leaves a white cast, which it never did before. This is the WORST change in formula that Cerave has made.. CERAVE, please stop changing the formula for something that works. If I could rate this a zero, I would.

    Sadly it pills...

    Used to use this product frequently in years past. Now it pills about 50% of the time I use it - whether on clean face or face with a product on it. Not sure why only half the time. So frustrating from such a trusted brand...

    Very effective for daily use.

    Barrier Support + SPF in One Pump

    Living in Florida, daily sun protection is important. CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 is my go-to everyday essential. I love that just one small pump is enough to cover my entire face. It absorbs instantly, feels lightweight, and doesn’t leave a greasy finish or white cast. My skin feels hydrated all day thanks to the three essential ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid that help support the skin barrier. As someone who runs outside in the Florida heat, it doesn’t sting my eyes when I sweat. Even my young daughters with sensitive skin use it. My 13 year old has acne-prone skin, and it doesn’t clog pores or cause her to breakout. My 10 year old daughter has fair skin, and it doesn’t cause any irritation.     I used to love it and now I hate it

    This moisturizer used to be my hg since high school (more than two decades). I'm not sure what's changed in recent years, but it is now so thick and greasy feeling, gives me a white cast, and pills like crazy. Awful under makeup. It's so disappointing because I used to love this stuff and I finally had to switch to a different sunscreen/moisturizer. Please bring back the old formula.

    Inexpensive, no fragrance and it is non irritating

    My dermatologist recommended Cerave over all the expensive brands. She said it is not irritating to the face and works well. I agree. I put a light coat of this on right after I wash my face in the morning and then put a few pumps in my palm, add a pump of foundation and mix. I then add that on top of the first layer of sunscreen. It helps blend the foundation so it looks natural and I dont have to worry about any damage from the sun or any other possible source. I appreciate the fact it does not have a fragrance! I also appreciate the fact it is not expensive. It makes it easy to look good, protect your skin and not break the bank.

    Pills and leaves white cast :(

    So disappointed in this product! I have enjoyed Cerave’s other products, so naturally I wanted to try their sunscreen/moisturizer for my morning routine. I tried this on clean, dry skin with no other products and it pilled terribly and left a white cast. I would understand if it was being applied on top of another product and had this issue, but that is not the case. Back to the search for a sunscreen to apply under makeup each morning.

    Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

    Not for under makeup.

    I love Cerave but I hate this product. First, it left a terrible white cast on my face (even without a huge amount of product.) Second, when I put any type of makeup over it, it pilled up horribly. I might save this for camping when I don’t plan to have makeup on, but otherwise it’s unusable.
