Description

Avoid having excess ethernet cable lying around by building your own cables to the exact length needed using this bulk ethernet copper cable from Monoprice!

This 1000 foot roll of unshielded (UTP) cat6 cable uses solid conductors and features 500MHz bandwidth capacity. Solid conductors have slightly better electrical properties than stranded conductors, making solid cables well suited for use in permanent, in-wall installations and for longer cable runs. This cable carries a CMR fire safety rating, which means that it is safe for use within the walls and between the floors of commercial buildings.

Monoprice cat5e and cat6 cables are made of 100 percent bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in cat5e and cat6 communications cables.

    Cable is hood, center blue plastic spool wheel snapped into shard apparently in shipping? just noticed this after ripping of the cardboard circle pull out. Hope none of the cables are damaged, but overall good quality

    Quality Cable

    Solid cable that was easy to pull from the box. It's at least as much as it takes to keep with my Cable internet modem. the colors could be more vibrant/distinct. In low light the orange looks a lot like brown and sometimes even the blue looks like green.

    Non-uniform twists in pairs?

    This cable seems to work just fine, and is a good fit for my home security camera wiring project. I'm most likely never going to run 10Gbit over it. I did notice that it is pretty brittle in freezing temps, just score the outside and breaks right off when it is cold, which was actually handy. But I did noticed that the brown pairs seemed to have half the number of twists as the other pairs, which seems strange. Maybe the manufacture ran out of the correct wire and subbed in a lower spec or something. I didn't notice this until I had ran my 8 runs, so I'm not going to do anything about it. But you may want to check out the internals when you first get the cable in case that matters to your application.

    Cat6 for Cameras

    Ran this wire in my attic for a camera security system. Works perfectly and was so easy to pull from the box. Ran it over many other communication and high voltage wires with no interference.

    Good cable good price

    Pulls good. Just a few minor complaints.1- no foot markings on cables. Has other specs but no up/down markers.2- pull-box plastic nozzle is CHEAP. Little dumb ring twists off/breaks and nozzle falls into box. Very annoying. Otherwise has ripcord, full plastic X-spline, solid pure copper (non-CCA). Real heavy wire so I know I'm getting good quality. Had no termination issues.
