Tattoo Brow 36HR includes a spoolie eyebrow brush on one end for defined, blended, and natural-looking brows. Available in six ultra-performing and ultra-inclusive shades that show up on diverse skin tones.
Step 1. Using Tattoo Brow 36HR Pigment Eyebrow Pencil, draw small, light strokes along the brow contour.Step 2. Use the eyebrow brush to groom hairs upward and outward to blend color and set brows.Step 3. Sharpen eyebrow pencil tip as desired.

Unsharpenable
Love the brow it creates but hate that is impossible to use after it gets velow the plastic rim. Tried sharpening with an eye sharpener. Plastic is too hard.

If this is a pencil that needs to be sharpened, I would rather it be a wooden pencil, not plastic. Too difficult to use.

This pencil is impossible to sharpen, I tried freezing it, that didn’t work. Can’t get a point on it. The pigment doesn’t last 36 hrs., it stays on about 8 hrs.

I was excited to get a brow pencil that I could sharpen, since I've had issues with retractable ones breaking or jamming halfway through use. Unfortunately, I should've listened to the reviews—this pencil is really hard to sharpen. It dulls unevenly and doesn't sharpen consistently, making the process frustrating and time-consuming. I wanted something quick and simple: use, sharpen, go. I'll give it 2 stars because it is waterproof, smudge-proof (about 90% accurate), and sweat-proof. But overall, the sharpening issues make it feel like a 1-star experience.

No way to sharpen it. 3 uses and you're done. They will say to use a sharp blade, but check other comments for pictures on what that ends up looking like. Take this off the market!!!!!

Doesnt work
Returned after finding no way to turn it to get more product out. Also there are no indications on the package on whether the pencil needs manually sharpened, or not. It feels like a plastic case so it can’t be sharpened, so it should rotate but it doesn’t. And what does spool mean in the instructions? They need to fix this. Waste of time, for sure.

Sharpening issue
The pencil is too difficult to sharpen to a point, too soft and it breaks while sharpening.

Sucks
Impossible to sharpen really disappointed. I used to get the best eyebrow pencil from them but can’t find it anywhere.

Feedback from our consumers is very important to us and helps us improve all of our products. This new generation of liners provides great color payoff but needs a gentle touch and a sharp blade to sharpen successfully. For best results, insert the pencil into the sharpener no more than 1/4 of an inch. If you push the pencil too far into the sharpener, the blade will grab too much and become difficult to sharpen. The goal is to shave off the resin in a thin curl to reveal more liner. The pencil should be sharpened frequently so that 3 or 4 gentle turns are sufficient to achieve the desired result. There's a bit of a learning curve but you'll master it in no time. A new sharpener with a fresh blade can make a big difference. We hope this helps!

Come on Maybelline this is a poor product lots of people have complained about this. It’s time to change. I threw the last eyeliner tattoo studio in the trash and mistakenly bought another one. I’m asking myself why did I buy this crap again…?

Been putting brows on for 50+ years. I thought I broke the pencil, then a review told me how to sharpen, ok, I got it. Lose a lot of product in sharpening process. But I love maybelline.

Broke it trying to twist it up, waste of money used it a couple of times. Apparently you need a pencil sharpener to sharpen plastic. So odd! No thank you!

Hello Pepperjack. Despite the plastic-coated appearance of the Tattoo Studio Tattoo Brow Up To 36Hr Waterproof Brow Pencil, it can be sharpened with a cosmetic sharpener. For best results, turn the pencil gently in the sharpener 3 or 4 times, being careful not to apply excess pressure. After sharpening, remove all shavings from the blade edge. Your sharpener should be replaced whenever the blade has dulled and is no longer giving the expected results. We hope this information helps! We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Not waterproof but a smooth pencil
I bought this brow pencil in deep brown color, cuz i have medium skin tone and brown black hair. But the deep brown color is very dark, it looks almost black. Its not waterproof and it is not at all waxy. But it goes on smooth on an eyebrow. The price does not suit the product. It dhould be cheaper.
