Does not cool
I am so sorry I purchased this unit it does not cool my bedroom and does nothing for the humidity in the room. I would never purchase an LG again. Terrible unit very disappointed

So far so good
Have had this for two weeks and am happy so far. I've never been a fan of air conditioning but can no longer tolerate the high heat and humidity so....this is taking care of that problem better than I expected for the price. The only issue is that the clean filter light has come on and the filter is clean. Minor problem and better it errs on the side of necessity. I am also very thrilled at how quickly it dries up our extreme Midwest humidity. Installation was exactly the projected fifteen minutes. Hope it continues to work as well as it is currently. I suppose the noise might be a problem if stuff like that bothered me but it works for me by blocking neighborhood noise which means I sleep better. Thanks!

unusual mold growth
This is a well-made AC two of which we are replacing after 3 or 4 years of use because of unusual mold growth. We've had many window ACs but I've never seen this kind of mold growth. It drained well to the outside.

Disappointing.
In late spring of this year I replaced an LG 6000 BTU air conditioner with another LG. After just a few months I noticed from the outside of the hast the back side of the unit was all rusty. Also, I bought the model because the description said it was quiet to run. It definitely was not. Sorry to say how disappointing this has been.

I use this air conditioner in my 300sf living room and it keeps the area very cool. It is not the most quiet model but for the size, ease of window installation and efficiency is a reliable good choice.

Not very cooling
This u it is nice and small so we are using it to cool a south facing bedroom after it heats up in the afternoon Colorado sun. Unfortunately it doesn’t actually cool very much. The low temp says 60f however the coldest air that comes out of the machine is 63.8f. While this is nice to get the room somewhat cooler it doesn’t actually act as much of an AC. Additionally the ‘fan’ feature actually heats the room up, so if it’s colder than 64 outside and I turn on the fan to cool it off the room actually gets warmer. Not recommended if you want your space cooler than 65.

Its a "cool" cooler for its size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This small air conditioner packs a nice punch above its weight. Cools off our dining area quickly even on the really hot days we have been having. Also, it is pretty quiet even when running at high cooling setting. The remote is really handy for us because it's a bit of a hassle getting to the unit to turn it on or off or make temperature changes. All in all, I am pleased with this device and recommend it to those who need some extra cooling in a smallish room.

Nice unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially bought one then I liked it so much I bought another. Less noisy then most window units. When the compressor cycles the window doesn't shake like my old one did. I like that it vents up so it is not blowing directly on you and directing the air to the hottest part of the room, the ceiling. You can buy cheaper, why not buy better?

the small drain tube was placed so that the filter did not fit properly, i fixed myself, also the unit does not blow cold air as well as it should

Great features for the price
