Zojirushi Hybrid 5L Water Boiler & Warmer - Silver

It’s been lovely to have hot water at the touch of a button, especially during the colder months. I’m having much more tea than I’m used to, and it keeps the perfect temperature for my coffee also. It’s a very well thought out design that makes care and use easy.

We only bought a new one because our 10 year old previous one was broken in a power surge that took out a bunch of things in the house. It worked perfectly up until then. We go through a lot of hot water for drinking and cooking so this larger model means we don't have to constantly refill it. I bought our first one because someone forgetting and boiling a kettle dry on the stove was becoming a safety issue, but I bought exactly the same one to replace it because it fit our needs perfectly.

Time is the resource that is hardest to buy. This saves me roughly 5-10 minutes a day since I'm not sitting waiting for my teakettle to boil. This boiler is expensive, but over 10 years that would amount to 18k-36k minutes,300-600 hours or 12 to 24 days saved. So far the electricity cost is actually less than using my old kettle each day. A few minor improvements would be: Allow me to completely disable sounds, currently you can disable the sounds when a reboil completes, but the button tones still sound. Adding a clock would allow me to use the energy saver function. As it currently works I have to remember to activate it each night at the correct time. I also think a larger size would be nice. I'm not sure how it would affect energy consumption, but I suspect I wouldn't have to do a reboil every day with an 8 liter model. Overall it is a great boiler. If you're a heavy tea drinker, it's a real time saver.

I really like the Zojirushi Hybrid kettle/water warmer; the sound it makes when the water is finished boiling.

This machine is soo Good I bought one as a Housewarming gift for a friend of mine.

I am in love with my purchase. I went for the bigger size because I knew that having more water in the tank helps with keeping it warmer longer (when using vacuum mode). I appreciate the delay feature so I can have water ready in the morning. Taking the top on and off is easy and allows for easy pouring. I wasn’t sure if I wanted/needed the magnetic plug as that was one of the biggest differences between this and another model. I still do not know but, either way, I like the one I have.

My hubby and I are very happy to have this product because we can get hot water right away whenever we want it or need it.

Really Great to have on the counter. I can get my coffee or my tea quickly and it’s always the right temperature. It’s a fundamental necessity in my kitchen. It’s also really great Soups and broth.

Love it. I drink a lot of tea and make coffee at least twice a day. Having hot water at the ready always is a great convenience. Easy to use, easy to set up, very convenient, and not that ugly on the counter! No messes.

I love it! For a family that makes 6-8 cups of tea or coffee a day (and the occasional late night ramen) having instant hot water has been a definite upgrade over waiting for our old kettle to heat up.

Overall, a fine appliance. Our issues: 1. inner surface is coated with a non-stick coating that is a relative of teflon. As with teflon, the production of this coating results in forever chemicals. In addition, the minute flacking off of the non-stick lining contributes to micro-plastic pollution. 2. The water level is often difficult to see; Zojirushi should add the floating plastic ball that they provide in their top-of-the line boiler.

This is the best water heater I could find on the market. Nice vacuum seal to prevent wasted electricity. Water stays heated and sips very little electricity to maintain temperature. I can feel very comfortable leaving this on constantly plugged in without any concerns of hazar, damage, or electricity overuse! Love this thing, got it just in time for the cold months here!

If you’re a tea/hot chocolate drinker. This product is great.

With two adults, we both have about 1-2 cups of tea and right now we only need to refill about twice a week. Very happy thus far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third water boiler/warmer. Due to a stomach condition, my husband must drink only warm water, thus our need for this boiler/warmer. We received our first one as a gift from my parents and after that, we were hooked. We're also big tea drinkers and the convenience of having hot water available 24/7 is extremely convenient. You'll never go wrong with the Zojirushi brand because they're the best. We also have 7 or 8 of their thermoses which makes it easy to carry hot/warm water when you're out of the house. I highly rate this product and this is one appliance we couldn't live without.

We both work from home, like most folks who've transitioned to the new normal, and because of that, we've started to miss some aspects about the office that we don't get at home- mainly, warm water available on demand. Because we live in the Bay Area where it's almost always chilly, we look forward to having tea or warm water in the afternoons and evenings - and that's where our Zojirushi water boiler comes in real handy- for hot water any time of the day. We set it up at night and the timer function allows for warm water ready in the mornings. Several temp settings are available (personally big fans of 175) and you can set the temp to anything you desire. It's the MVP of our new WFH life and we couldn't be happier.

I have not used it yet. It is a bit too tall for most of my kitchen counter top — but am looking forward to using this some day…

We owned an older model Zojirushi Hot Water dispenser for over eight years and now ordering the new model to replace our previous one. We have a electric kettle that only heats water when turned on and doesn't keep the water hot for long periods of time. My husband said "we have got to order a new Zojirushi, because I am getting tired of not having HOT water at my fingertips on a CONSTANT, instant moment." So I put in the order today to buy another beloved Zojirushi Hot Water Pot and can't wait until it arrives at our door! So excited to find the new updates on this model of having a thermal wrap around the stainless steel body and automatically turns off when water level is low.

Well designed. Ease of cleaning was carefully thought out for disassembly. Water heating and temperature retaining works well. Safety with a purposeful unlock to dispense hot water is genius. Electric dispenser means I can hold the dispense button down for continuous water output.
