    Not durable

I loved this, but I can no longer use it. I noticed a crack around the base of the handle this morning- it hasn’t been dropped or damaged, so looks like this is just from from regular use. Bummed that it’s unusable exactly 1 year and a day after I bought it.

Great Pour Over System for starters

First I want to note that, I use a tea kettle for warming my water and I always wait 30 seconds after removing from the cooktop to bloom my beans and another 30 seconds before I brew the coffee, I have absolutely no issues with cracking, flavor etc as mentioned in the other reviews. I use a good scale to measure my beans to hot water ratio as well 40g of beans to 800g of water. This gives me 2 very large cups of coffee w/ room for cream. I think it also needs to be noted that although the top is indeed airtight the heat will not keep as long as a standard drip coffee maker, the purpose of pour over is for the freshness. I think if you are new to pour over (like I was when purchased) this is a FANTASTIC investment, very easy to clean and use, great flavor if you use quality coffee and very easy to use. Don’t expect NYC barista quality for $17, however this has replaced my need to run for coffee everyday as I can make a fantastic and “insta” worthy coffee or late at home with this.

Not worth the price; cheaply made

Lasted about a month before it broke. Didn’t even touch it. Seems the material can’t handle hot water or something . It just cracked after only a month of use. Paid too much for it to be this cheap of a product. Wouldn’t recommend

    Thin glass

I got this because I got rid of our coffee machines because they were big bulky, took up too much counter space and always got dirty with sediment and I just don’t have the time to clean it or even want to... so I wanted a pour over and didn’t want to pay $50 think my only complaint is the glass is a little thin. and pro-tip I always add a paper filter on top of the mesh one and my coffee turns out great!

    terrible quality

this broke very quickly. The glass carafe is very thin and the plastic cone cracks when you pour the hot water through it.

    meh

I like the little glass carafe. I didnt realize that the cone was plastic. This was my 2nd attempt at a budget pour over setup. My coffee didnt come out great at all. I feel like it was able to brew too quickly with the cone and filter. I returned it and purchased a different one that the cone is metal (not the fillter, the actual coffee dripper cone) and it was a better setup for me. I wanted to like this at the $18 price point.. but it just didn't work well and I don't like the plastic cone.

Perfectly functional and good looking, may still need paper filter

Brews quite nicely, if not a little too quickly. The mesh metal filter may not be fine enough to allow the coffee to fully brew, leaving the otherwise super flavorful coffee pretty bland. Definitely an acceptable cup of coffee, but this pour over may still require a paper filter to slow the brewing process just a little bit. All in all, a decent multi-cup pour over for the price.

    New Favorite Coffee Maker

Just bought this coffee maker and Ive used it just about every day since. It’s exactly like the hario pour-over but a fraction of the price. Also love that it has a metal filter so it’s not super wasteful! I see how people are saying “grounds in their coffee” but I believe it’s just the oils from the coffee beans settling at the bottom.

If you like sludge - this is the pour over for you!

If I could give it no stars I would. If you like drinking sludge, this is the pour over system for you! The filter is fairly useless as it doesn't seem to actually 'filter'. I'd return it if I could, but we're in a pandemic and I am not going into the store.

    100% satisfied.

I am extremely thrilled with this pour over coffee device... 100% top notch, in quality, for both function-ability and outcome. It's easy to use and I am thrilled all around. I am really glad that I did not get the single serving. This 20 oz, with the glass carafe, and the lid, and the BPA free insert for the reusable filter is exactly what I was looking for! The reusable/washable filter worked really well with my medium ground coffee. What is extremely exciting about this particular Bodum brand, is that it has a gradual release of the pour over and is top notch! I had used Bodum brand in the past, for our French press and absolutely loved it. 20 oz for me is two large cups of coffee, so for someone else it might be two standard size cups for two people.
