Low hold with high "shine"

I've tried a number of American Crew products and this one just doesn't work for me. It has less hold than the pomade, in my opinion, and leaves my hair looking greasy to the point that it looks like I've worked out and didn't shower afterwards. Honestly, it works so poorly that I wonder if I somehow got a fake product instead of the real thing... The smell is nice though! It's got a pleasant minty scent that I find enjoyable.

This is closer to pomade than clay. It feels greasy, has low to medium hold, and just makes your hair look flat and oily. Would not recommend.
