Q: I am having trouble with the motor jumping up and down while using. I have done the “dime” test and it fixed the problem on low speed only. Any suggestions?

I’ve had this mixer for less than 2 1/2 years. I started making sourdough bread in Aug 2025. I made 1-2 loaves per week and the mixer died on me this morning. The motor runs, but the mixer won’t turn. Don’t buy if you want to keep it more than 2 1/2 years or if you are planning to mix anything thick. It’s a shame. My mom has a KitchenAid mixer from 1993 and it’s still running.

Motor sucks, do not buy

I have had this mixer for a year and two months. The motor just crapped out on me. I’m not mixing huge things. I was making ICE CREAM. It wasn’t even all the way thick. I don’t use my kitchen aid often. Like MAYBE 3 times a month. Do not buy. Of course it is 2 months past the warranty window, so I’m out $500. Perfect.

Dissapointed

Very disappointed 😔 I was waiting for my kitchenaid mixer inpatiently as all my friends were talking about how good it is. When I took it out of the box, the part fell of as it was broken 😞. I had to return it and now I can't convince myself to buy another one.

Nope! I bought it today 12/23 to bake some cinnamon rolls and nope, the machine started to smell like burn, got supper hot and all of a sudden it started to scrape the bowl and started to shake. Ppl hype it up to much, I’ll stick with my hand mixer. Not worth $500.

Stopped working after six months

It broke after 6 months. I used it to bake maybe 3 times a month. Noticed it doing the thing other users mentioned, sounding like it was not locked in place while mixing (despite me locking it and holding it down) and before I had a chance to figure out how to fix that, it stopped mixing mid batch of sour dough bread, something I had made many times before the exact same way.
