A: Hi newirv! The 30 Qt. HingeLID Latch Box has outside dimensions that measure: 18 5/8" L x 14" W x 11 1/8" H. The dimensions listed on our website and labels are the measurements taken from the widest points of the product, typically the lid or top, and include any protrusions such as latches. Inside bottom dimensions are smaller as the product tapers downward. This is the universal method for measuring housewares. We hope this information helps!

Q: Is this container food safe? I am looking for a large bin to mix up large amounts of sourdough in.

It is the same material used to produce all of our food storage items. To ensure we offer only quality and safe products, no PVCs, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bisphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals are used in our manufacturing process. Sterilite does not use any harmful materials in the production of our products.

Q: Is the lid removable?
A: Hi Southern Gal! The 30 Qt. HingeLID Box lid can be removed: simply undo each latch, and gently pull the lid from the base where the Hinge connection is. We hope this information helps!

A: Hello Laura, the 30 Qt HingeLID Box is made from high quality FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items.
