Description

Enjoy a comfortable home climate with this versatile Black and Decker 12,000 BTU (8,000 BTU SACC) with 9,000 BTU heating portable air conditioner unit. Cools the air down to 61 degrees Fahrenheit, dehumidifies up to 76 pints every 24 hours, and circulates air with 3 fan settings to stand up to summer heat in rooms up to 550 sq. ft. This Portable Air Conditioner with heat features easy-to-use LED electronic controls and is quiet while you sleep, 53dB on highest setting. Window kit includes foam seal, slider bracket, 5.9 inch diameter air exhaust hose, hose inlet and outlet, 2 locking screws and drain hose. Works in double hung or sliding windows only, no crank windows. To minimize noise and vibration, the air conditioner should be placed on a firm floor. For safe and secure positioning, place the unit on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit. Connect the duct and make sure it can function properly. Microprocessor control delays the compressor from operating until 3 mins have passed. Thermostat range is from 61 degrees to 88 degrees Fahrenheit. Includes easy to use LCD remote control (2 AAA batteries required for remote - not included). 115V~/60Hz. 1320 Watts. Annual energy usage 862 Kwh.     Works as intended! Couldn't be happier except...

    I enjoy a cold apartment and only have heating in my building. This unit gets the job done and cools my living room space very nice and quickly. It's got wheels so I can wheel it into my room and it isn't too big to take up a lot of space. A few struggles I had while looking for a portable ac, including this unit, was my window was taller than what the slider kit could reach unfortunately. Also I got 2 locking screws but only one side of the slider has holes to lock it in so it's kind of crooked but the window stabilizes it. Other than that, it works as intended and I'm satisfied with my purchase. I can't speak for the other features included in all honesty but I'd like to believe this was a fair rating.

    Cools great

    I use this in my work shop wich is 460 Sq feet. Now my shop is not insulated and has a 14 foot ceiling but this unit has been able to keep the shop comfortable even in the south Georgia summer. My only complaint is I would like the fan to blow a bit more.

    works great surprisingly quiet but not perfect

    this was my first portable AC i have always had window units works great and is as quite as my window unit wich was quite so thats the postive the only negative is the user interface some of the features are only available by using the remote control so if its lost or broken you wont be able to access those features its a minor complaint because most control is on panel but its still a minor issue
