Cools very good

I order this to cool a room my central ac does not reach and I must say not only does it cool the room it helps my central ac not work as hard, so I guess it's helping me save energy win win. Only thing I wish is for the hoes to be more flexible left and right up down if perfect. I will update review if any issues arise but so far so good

Energy Saver & User-Friendly

Smart meter says it uses 30% less power than my old AC. Cools faster too! The auto mode adjusts fan speed based on room temp―no need to babysit settings. Perfect balance of efficiency and noise control. Heavy-duty build feels like it'll last years. Already recommended to all my friends!

Renters' Best Friend

Landlord approved this instantly! No drilling, just sealed the window with the included kit. Moved it from my bedroom to the kitchen in 5 minutes. Cools both spaces in under an hour. Perfect for renters who can't modify apartments. Compact design hides behind furniture―my place looks cleaner now. Thank goodness for portable AC!

Perfect, with a setup hiccup.

This air conditioner is a beast. It's way better than the LP1419IVSM that I had previously. The dual hoses really do make a difference. My one complaint is that the window bracket was too long to fit my window. My window isn't anything abnormal. It required the extension to fit, but the extension was too long. Luckily I had a small hand saw to make it fit. Other than that, it's been fighting the Georgia heat wave all by itself. My main unit is dead and I can't afford to fix it. it makes my room freezing cold. With a few fans pushing the air out, the other rooms are much more bearable.

Well made and energy efficient unit that blows

Purchased to replace the Samsung 12000btu unit that's was 15 years old. Used to cool a bedroom that is always the hottest room in house due to the sun hitting it and old construction. The AC cools the 18*20 room from 75 to 67 in about 1/2 hour. We found no issues so far. It's super quiet as long as you allow it to run on auto. On high it's about as noticeable as other units are on low. All in all were paying less electric bill for a cooler room.

Purr Quiet

I bought this brand and model ahead before the weather started to warm up, so it was a little more expensive then, but no regret. I only really tested it when it came time to use it this past first week of June. It has been operational since then, almost nonstop and it cools my 500 sq ft family room fast and well (husband and I decided not to use central AC to save electric costs). I measured the decibel level on my iPhone's NIOSH sound meter app and at 3 ft away, low setting, it registered at 39 dB compared to my Black & Decker 10000 BTU in another room, which measured at 53 dB, same distance and fan setting.

Great machine, no negatives so far.

I put this in my two car garage, which is at the upper limit of square footage for this machine, maybe slightly too much. I didn't install it properly, I just open a door just high enough to vent the hot air out and block air at the bottom with box pieces, for now. There's obviously hot air coming in where the door is open and nothing blocks outside air. There's also a deep freezer, a fridge, and the hot water heater adding hot air at all times. That said, on a 100° day, it'll get down and hold at 76°. If it's 85-90°, it has been able to get down to 68° before I turned it up a little. It was a good purchase and I regret nothing so far. I would buy it again.

life saver

This AC was a life saver in the NYC summer heat and humidity. This AC may be pricey, but it definitely saved me money throughout the year compared to the old window units I was having to use. The electricity usage has gone down quite a bit from last year, so I would definitely say it's been worth it even in a single season for ease and for cost.

Best A/C Whynter has produced!

I've had many portable A/C units over the past 20 years and this one is the best I've ever used. None of the previous A/C units, could not keep my 15'x15' bedroom cool. They would only cool to 10-15 degrees F cooler than the outside temperature. I tried everything including super insulating the attic and still had the same problem. With this unit, it stays at the temperature as I set it. If it's 95 degrees F outside and I set it at 65 degrees, it stays at 65 degrees! Another great about this A/C is it's super quiet (on auto setting), most of the time quieter than my Dyson fan. Thank you for producing such a great A/C unit! Now I can sleep through the night.
