Video quality is amazing!

I have owned three Nanit monitors for over five years, and I can say without hesitation that these are among the most frustrating, unreliable, and overpriced products I have ever purchased. For a product marketed to parents who need peace of mind, Nanit has delivered the exact opposite. The app is an absolute disaster. It routinely gets stuck on loading screens, sometimes for hours, leaving me unable to see my children when I actually need to. Activity tracking is wildly inconsistent, and recordings that should allow me to check when my children woke up are frequently missing or unavailable. What is the point of spending hundreds of dollars on a baby monitor if you cannot reliably MONITOR YOUR BABY? And the problems don’t end with the hardware purchase. Nanit charges ongoing subscription fees for features that should be standard on a premium baby monitor. So not only do you pay a fortune upfront, you get the privilege of continuing to pay for an app that frequently doesn’t work. I have contacted customer support, followed their troubleshooting recommendations, and wasted more time than I care to admit trying to make these monitors function as advertised. Nothing has meaningfully improved. After five years and three cameras, I am done. I genuinely wish I had never purchased a single Nanit. The amount of money, time, and sleep I have wasted on this system is infuriating. Parents: You do not need another source of stress when you’re caring for a baby. You need a monitor that works. In my experience, Nanit is not that monitor. I would never purchase another Nanit product, and I strongly recommend that other parents look elsewhere. For the premium price Nanit charges, its reliability is completely unacceptable. One star only because zero isn’t an option.

Got my Nanit for when I keep my grandkids. Set up was alittle tricky. I am on my daughter’s Nanit at her house and mine. I don’t leave my camera on all the time, connecting at times has been an issue.

Love the Nanit monitor! Got a second one for our second baby! Have had our first camera for 4 years now. Love it! Gave it 4 starts because we did the floor stand this time around and would NOT recommend. The stand does not vent heat well so camera always says temp that was 10 degrees hotter. We felt that due to this the longevity of the camera would be compromised if it is being exposed to excess heat over time. Thought we would share our experience.

We love our camera but I wish it showed when someone had been watching live like ring cameras f do I think that would really swipe a lot of parents nerves around the cameras

When I first started using Nanit I loved it. I haven’t even had it for a year yet. I am so disappointed in the way that the camera system and the 8 inch display works. The 8 inch displays battery doesn’t last a night it last a maximum of 4 hours which is sad for the price you pay for it. If you don’t buy the 8 inch display it is expected to use your phone through the app. It is not good at notifying at night time. For nap it is great since I am awake and can check on baby. The camera system is also very laggy. It is close to our internet and nothing else has connection issues. For the price I paid for everything I am highly disappointed in it and wish I would have not sold my other baby monitor from a different brand.

I love that I can check in on mg baby via the app or the monitor & all the sleep insights are great. My baby wakes once around 4am & I take him out of his crib for a feeding and then put him back down until he wakes up for the day. The Nanit won’t record that last stretch as part of the night & it’s not enough data for it to make it to the am part of the recording which is frustrating because the sleep records are all off. Can you make so that if my baby is taken out of his crib for 45 min that doesn’t end the sleep session? I wish there was like a pause or something.

It’s OK. Our tablet dies within 3 hours which seems weird, but according to Nanit, it’s normal. The video quality is great and the insights are nice. Our system loses WiFi almost weekly, and we have never had an issue with anything losing WiFi in our home. It is super frustrating. All in all, we basically spent an insane amount of money for good picture quality.

Decent amount of false movement alerts. Got them minimized by reducing bandwidth usage and sensitivity. Length of free trial for software that they make too critical towards function of camera being shortened from 1 year to 3 months is a joke.

Great item! Wish we could put the camera at more of a right angle, but we love looking at our baby throughout the night.

This monitor has helped me with tracking my son’s sleep. It gives me piece of mind knowing how much this monitor tracks. Also love the view on the big screen!!
