Underwhelmed
I bought the Bambino Plus two weeks ago and am disappointed. Especially since it’s my second Breville and I loved the first one I had (different model). The handle is annoyingly tight and moves the machine each time I place it in or remove it. It’s been tricky finding the right espresso pull setting and each shot comes out bitter, regardless the of the bean used. The water reservoir is curved so much it causes the machine to take up quite a lot of counter space. The wet tray under the handle is awkward to clean. I think I’ll return this one, which is a bummer.

Excellent affordable option for home espresso
As a former barista, I felt that I had to spend a fortune to get a good home espresso. After doing some research and seeing this unit go on sale, I pulled the trigger. This allowed me to spend more money on a nice single dose grinder, scale with time, and a few other accessories. Obviously good espresso take time and intention, but I was able to quickly dial in and have been producing great espresso based drinks for a few weeks now. The only feature on this machine I haven't tried is the auto milk steamer as I personally enjoy steaming milk manually. However I felt that the other upgrades to the bambino were worth it at the sale price.

Didn't work for me!
I was trying to replace my Breville Dual Boiler to save on counter space. Soooo .. I got the Bambino Pro. Although it pulled an excellent brew, it was just too light and flimsy for my comfort. It felt like a toy and I really like something more substantial.

Perfect size for small apartment
I love this machine! Its small enough to not take up a lot of space in my small apartment, isn't too noisy, and makes a great espresso. I like the auto cleaning feature for the milk frother. I do clean the tray after using the milk frother so that the milk that comes out from the cleansing doesn't sit there and dry and can become harder to clean later.

Quality Product
We purchased an espresso machine for our tenth anniversary as a gift to ourselves. Wow, this product looks and feels like quality! We feel so fancy and so far have been able to make great tasting espresso and drinks! Can’t wait to practice and refine more so we can get a good menu of items going. :)

I have been using a manual latter machine for decades and finally decided to upgrade to an automatic one. The manual ones have a life span of 3-5 years. I hesitantly paid the much higher cost for this one.

Mediocre at best
After owning countless products from Breville The Bambino Plus has definitely not met my expectations. This machine does not produce enough pressure to truly customize a shot and there is no way to monitor it. On the most basic of settings the espresso produced is ok at best. The auto frother is inconsistent in temperature and definitely doesn’t produce a nice micro foam and foaming milk on manual is awkward and it’s always shutting off before the milk has reached temperature. Also when frothing manually the frothing wand always wants to snap back into the resting position which shuts it off and you have to start it again. The footprint although not as wide is my previous machine sits very deep and I still find it takes up a lot of room. This machine feels very cheaply made and it is super flimsy, when twisting the portafilter on or off the entire machine flexes like its going to snap. I definitely would not recommend this product to anyone, way overpriced for what you get.

Not so good performance.
I bought the Bambino Plus on Feb 5, 2026, and have not been able to get a two shot of espresso by pressing the 2 cup, even after following explicit instruction from the manual book. It is a big disappointment. Would I buy it again, no. Do I recommend it, no.

Great quality for a small-scale unit
Excellent unit: heats up immediately and has the ability to make quality espresso. The only downside so far is how light it is - removing the portafilter requires an extra hand to hold down the unit.

Great Coffee!
I am not a barista by any means, but the Bambino Plus makes fabulous expressos and lattes with just a few button pushes. It's very easy to use and has lots of nice features, such as the automated milk frother and purger for it. I probably use it 2 or 3 times a day and have had no issues. Super happy with my purchase!

Mostly satisfied
Bought this after reviewing other expresso machines. At the time felt like it was worth spending a little extra for the quality of the machine. First day worked perfectly. The reason it’s not getting 5 stars is due to the milk frother not working properly consistently. There are times when it “boils” over, making it necessary to babysit it any time you choose to froth milk/creamer. After researching this deeper it seems as though this is an issue with no true resolution. I find this odd considering this company’s expertise.

Tiny machine…big caffeine
I bought the Breville Bambino Plus and apparently I am now the kind of person who says things like grind size and microfoam. This tiny machine makes espresso so good it has ruined every coffee shop within a 10 kilometer radius of my house. The steam wand works like magic and makes milk so fluffy it deserves its own pillow. It heats up in three seconds, which is faster than my brain most mornings.

Almost perfect but frustratingly not so
The machine is almost perfect I'm every way, which is good. However, here are some things I think it could have been better: The drip tray is way too small. In practice, you need to empty it after every use. The steam wand spits a substantial amount of water before steam. And it is very finicky to purge this water as it has autopurge-after-use. The cleaning is set to every 200 shots. I use the machine 2/3 times per day, so that means it'd recommend me cleaning it once every 68-100 days (2mo1w-3mo1w), which is way too infrequent, almost designed to create build-up and failure. Other than these, the machine is excellent.

Small but Mighty
Love this expresso machine. It is small but provides all the benefits of a great cup. My only dislike is that there are no non slip grips on the bottom of the machine. I had to purchase a silicone mat, otherwise I would have rated it higher.
