Good BP monitor
This is a good, accurate monitor. It connects to an app that keeps track of your blood pressure on your phone and figures average BP for a specific period of time. It adheres to 120/80 as the ideal BP, so if your reading is 122/81, for example, it flags you as having hypertension. A reading of 119/81 is pre hypertension. This can be annoying at times but not a big deal.

Works pretty well
I have had this for a couple of months now, and it works most of the time. As with all these, occasionally you get error messages when you do the same process every single time. No idea why. I have owned 3 previous models of Omron units, the brand that is suggested most by doctors, and they all behaved the same way. If it worked ALL the time, I would have given it 5 stars.

Inaccurate, read 166/103 at home and 145/95 at home and then at the doc it read 130/78 & 138/81.

Lexi, blood pressure can vary between readings and locations, and differences like this are addressed in the Omron Series 5 BP7255 Instruction Manual, which states readings are affected by rest time, body position, cuff placement, and timing of the measurement. Omron recommends resting at least 5 minutes before measuring, sitting with feet flat and back supported, keeping the arm at heart level, placing the cuff snugly on bare skin, avoiding caffeine, exercise, or smoking for 30 minutes, and taking 2 to 3 readings with 2 to 3 minutes between them. Best I ever owned
The best one I have ever owned. Just the building quality if the cuff would be enough. The app is easy to use and it is extraordinary accurate compared to the one in my doctors office. Solid build quality. Made in Japan.

Bad quality
Based on my experience, this is an accurate machine. However, I can only get a few uses on the batteries. It takes 4 double A’s and I can’t keep buying new ones to check my pressure. Now, I just put in 4 new ones and the machine is saying zero battery power. A piece of junk
