Culligan filters reduce 50+ impurities including lead, asbestos, mercury, chlorine taste & odor, 8 pharmaceuticals, and cysts*. Culligan filters reduce chlorine taste & odor for better tasting water and ice. They provide fresh, filtered water by also reducing select pharmaceuticals including ibuprofen, atenolol, and trimethoprim. Additionally, most Culligan filters reduce the presence of illness-causing, waterborne parasites, like Giardia and Cryptosporidium, helping you stay healthy when you hydrate. Culligan filters have an activated carbon cartridge that absorbs the carbon-based VOCs (volatile organic compounds) as they pass through the filter, resulting in better water. Hopefully it lasts at least 6 months like the filter I normally use. This one is slightly cheaper than the one I normally use so it’s good to save a few bucks.

I didn't know they made water filters for your fridge and was happy to give this filter a try. It is just as good if not better than the fridge branded filters. It was easy to replace, flush the lines, and use. The water tasted fresh and didn't have any hint of chlorine like some of the other filters I tried had.

I switched to two other brands because the price was way cheaper for 3 of them vs the 1 GE filter……A few years later we noticed silver flakes in the water. I decided to flush the line but it would always return. We stopped using the fridge water for 6 months thinking it was the fridge. I read a review of the other filters and someone mentioned the same issue. I went back to the GE water filter and no more flakes and now the water is crystal clear.

My water tastes great, and I feel good knowing this filter is removing potential contaminants from our water before we drink it. It was super easy to install, too. It took less than 5 minutes. I can't speak to the durability so far, since I've only been using it for a month or so, but I would expect it to last as long as any water filter would. I will purchase this filter when it's time to replace.

I live alone and have a split fridge with a vertical freezer and hardly ever have to change my filter. It feels very durable but it’s not heavy in weight. Fits perfectly into its slot and you only need to buy 2 or so per year.

It came with instructions for an easy and simple steps. However it takes me a little bit of time to find if this will be exactly for my model and I doubt because there is no indication in the box or the paper inside. I will appreciate to have it easy to find for the users because I have 2 refrigerators ( similars) and I just wanted to be sure to fit and works well.
