Nice iron
I had an older model from reliable that lasted over 20 years. It finally needed replacement so I went for this. It is a beautiful iron with a lot of helpful features I didn't know I wanted but absolutely do.

The iron is lightweight as the water is all in the base instead of the iron.
I've had three of these irons and I love them! They never spit and always have a great deal of steam. I just wish they would last longer. They seem to last about a year.

Excellent Product
Excellent product with fast shipping. Easy to set up and use and produced lots of heat and steam. Just what I needed to improve my quilting and garment sewing.

Great Iron/short morality
The120is replaced my previous iron which after some discussion with Reliable's technic person was a better fit for my use. The steam availability is great for lengthy session of work. I would like to see more lifetime added because my iron stopped working in about 4 years which influenced the number of stars in my rating.

It's a home ironing system
I bought the Maven 1L Home Ironing Station to replace a 21-year-old steam generator iron that broke. I looked at buying a steam generator iron, but they were all too big to fit on the shelf on my ironing board (without husband making modifications to the board). I'm now sewing at the end of my primary bedroom, so don't have space for a separate small stand to hold the iron. This is a steam iron with a removable tank; it is not a steam generator. After 21 years of using my steam generator, I was used to pressurized steam. The Maven 1L steams, but it is not pressurized steam like you get from a steam generator iron. I am having "new thing" syndrome, where my habitual actions from using my previous iron Don't work with the Maven 1L. The button to activate the steam is underneath the handle. The button that selects the temperature setting is on TOP of the handle, right where I want to rest my thumb when I'm putting some force in my pressing. The temp / setting selection on the Maven 1L is also where the steam button was on my previous iron, so I'm continually changing the setting by accident. There is also no way, other than not putting water in the iron, to get the iron HOT, or next-to-hot without also having steam. This can be problematic for applying iron-on interfacings and patches that say to use an iron on wool setting with NO steam. Right now I'm not sure whether I'm going to try to make this Home Ironing Station work, or buy another professional-grade steam generator iron. I iron a lot of clothing: everyone in my family is tall. Even though I buy Talls for my husband, I don't dare put his shirts in the dryer for fear that they would shrink, so I iron all of his woven shirts. I also am a garment maker, so press my fabrics before cutting; sometimes need to apply iron-on interfacing, and press regularly during construction. I have also started quilting, and press fabrics, and press seams open or to one side during construction.

Maven Home Ironing Station
I love this iron. It is super convenient to have the large water reservoir and not have to fill and drain the iron each time I use it. And I like the push lever steam- it gives me the option of steaming or not as I use the iron. Great iron.

Excellent iron!
Excellent iron. Heavy enough that it does some of the pressing work, but not a burden to use. Steam and heat are excellent, settings are simple to understand and use. Heavier cord/tubing takes a bit of getting used to, and base of iron is has enough of a curve, so it doesn't sit well upright, like most other irons, so you need to have the base nearby. After a brief adjustment period, all is good, and this is a great iron.

I love my Maven
It heats up in less than 1 minute It puts out a good amount of very fine steam with no dripping or spitting. The fabric settings are simple and accurate. And it’s a nice looking iron with pleasant lines.

A Good Iron
I like it a lot. All in all it's a good iron, and I'm happy with my purchase. I sew mostly apparel with some bags and quilting thrown into the mix. Knocked off one star for the following: 1. I wish the iron sat upright when I wanted it to. It has to be returned to the base. 2. I wish there was a feature in which the steam stayed on all of the time without pressing the steam button. 3. It doesn't seem quite as hot as my Rowenta. This could just be me.
