unique and thoughtful gift idea for adults
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this LEGO Ideas Mineral Collection set and immediately knew exactly who it was for I gifted it to a friend who’s completely obsessed with crystals and also loves LEGO, so it was a total no-brainer. He absolutely loved it. The set does a brilliant job of showcasing the vibrant colours and natural beauty of different minerals in a really creative, buildable way. The finished models look amazing as display pieces, especially with the little shelf units. It’s such a unique and thoughtful gift idea for adults, especially if they’re into geology, crystals, or just enjoy mindful building projects. Honestly, it’s one of those sets that looks just as good on display as it is fun to build.

A fun build
I purchased this set while we were on vacation. We had just finished seeing a mineral display at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. My daughter is all about minerals and I purchased this for the both of us. The build is fun and it was fun reading about the minerals in the instructions. Definitely recommend getting this set.

A colourful collection
I'm a little obsessed with crystals, diamond and gems, and translucent Lego pieces. So this is actually one of my favourite sets as a centrepiece of my collection. Recommend to anyone even remotely interested in shiny rocks.

Beautiful and Unusual
This is a lovely set, aimed at adults but also suitable for children 8+ who can handle the small pieces. The translucent colours display well and those pieces make it a great parts pack. The display cases work well together or separately and provide a useful range of brown plates and windows. I was glad to be building it fresh from the instruction books as it might be difficult to identify some of the colours if I were gathering the parts later. As three instruction books and seven bags, it could divide easily for a team of three people. I thought of building a second set as mirror-image models, though some are close to being symmetrical already. A possible use of the models or their derivatives in an exhibition layout would be in caves, maybe with LED lighting, as something for minifig characters to explore and mine. That could add an element of "play" to a set that is designed for displaying.

Amazing 😍
Everything about this set, from the unique pieces that when put together form some unique shapes much like that of raw crystals. To the overall look of the build itself. Favorite creations set so far

Not as cool as it could have been
I received this as a gift for completing my graduate gemologist diploma; it was a really thoughtful gift and it looked pretty cool in pictures. I could accurately identify all the gems, so kudos for that. It's hard to explain but there's just something off about it. The fluorite looks like a fish and I cannot un-see a fish when I look at it. The Watermelon tourmaline looks like a pill container and is by far the worst looking one, the pyrite is way too lackluster (literally). If they couldn't accomplish the almost mirror shine of it then pick something else. The amethyst and rhodochrosite are the best ones. Having two quartz-based minerals is sort of lazy, they would have been better off keeping the emerald from the prototype. I don't have an issue with the look of the stands, but they are very repetitive to build. Overall, this is a really fun set for someone like me say they to have, but I feel like it could have been better executed.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us! We’re really happy you enjoyed receiving the Mineral Collection. However, it looks like we could’ve done just a little more to turn it from awesome to super awesome! Thanks for letting us know what would make your LEGO® experience shine and sparkle even more.

Fun build. Wish they had kept the emerald
I really enjoyed this build. The amethyst, watermelon tourmaline and rhodochrosite are very beautiful. In the booklet write up about the creator it mentioned a "emerald" which made me curious as it isn't included in the build. It appears that the blue tourmaline was replaced with the watermelon tourmaline. I was ok with this change. It also appears that the fluorite was used to replace the emerald. To me this was a big disappointment

Minerals
This was a very nice set and I got it to do a comparison with the real minerals for a project.

A geologists lego dream
If you're a dedicated lego maniac and have a love for geology, this is the set for you. It was a blast to build from the first brick and looks great next to my work setup.

Fab lego set for the home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a 40-year-old LEGO enthusiast, the excitement was very real when I got the chance to build the Mineral Collection — and it absolutely did not disappoint. This set is just brilliant. The builds are detailed, satisfying and full of those lovely fiddly bits that make LEGO so relaxing to put together. The instructions are easy to follow, but the build itself still feels engaging and rewarding — exactly how I like it. The geode has to be my favourite piece. It looks amazing once finished and has such a striking, display-worthy design. Building this set gave me some much-needed time out from the kids, and now it’s sitting proudly on my sideboard looking far better than any ornament I could’ve bought. In fact, I’d take this over real crystals any day — no dust (yet), no fragility, and a lot more fun to create. Now I just have to hope the kids admire it from a distance and don’t try to “help”. Overall, this is a fantastic set for adult LEGO fans who love mindful building and stylish display pieces. A real joy from start to finish.

Perfect for Lego lovers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Building the LEGO® Mineral Collection was such a joy! This 880-piece set lets you recreate six vibrant minerals — golden pyrite, purple amethyst, blue fluorite, watermelon tourmaline, reddish-pink rhodochrosite, and tangerine quartz — using clever techniques and transparent bricks that capture their colors beautifully. The set includes three buildable display shelves that you can arrange and customize, making it a stunning piece of living room decor. My son also got involved, and it was a fun, shared creative experience. A perfect gift for rock collectors, nature lovers, and LEGO fans, combining art, creativity, and displayable models all in one.

Fantastic Mineral Lego
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing piece of lego but quite difficult for some of it to be put together. It does say it's for 18+ but my 11 year old daughter helped me as a lot of it is quite simple to piece together. It does take quite a while to put together, there are 7 bags of lego and within some of the bags there are additional smaller bags, each one takes about an hour to put together. You 1st construct the base for each mineral to sit on but once everything is constructed it genuinely looks amazing. There are instructions for each bag which you follow and it helps piece by piece to put this together, in total there are around 900 pieces but it's a brilliant way to construct and test you mental agility. We love lego and how it looks when completed and this is an amazing piece and looks fantastic.

Lovely little build
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this set as it was something a little different, i love all the architectural, floral legos etc so I was excited for this one. I spent the time building this one with my daughter as she loves Lego too. The quality is always top tier with official Lego and this didn’t disappoint even being a small set with some thinner part. Its design to look like the real minerals is great and all the different ways the colours and pieces come together to make them is brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed this build. I love the extra bits in this set to display them which made it that little bit more creative as opposed to just building the minerals themselves.

Vibrant colors!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This truly was the coolest set. My kids love rocks, gems and minerals and this set hit the mark. The colors of the pieces are vibrant and beautiful. Instructions were easy and the pieces fit together nicely so this makes a wonderful display piece. Once set for display, we don’t have to worry about it falling apart or needing to rebuild anything. All in all, perfect.

Great set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A really great Lego set. It is 18+ but my lad insisted and helped me build it no problem, he’s 8. All crystals look amazing and as a whole the set look great. Kept us busy for a fair amount of time and was really enjoyable.
