The best KA model
I have been giving this beauty a strenuous workout on Sourdough for about a year. FABULOUS. I love the 1/2 speed setting for folding in inclusions. The motor is much quieter than the previous lift model purchased at a big box store. Stable, powerful and beautiful.

Paint job needs improvement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchase KitchenAid originally had a chip in the base underneath a bowl. Upon calling them because I'm 3 weeks out of warranty they're not offering to help me out. On top of that it's not just a chip but it's actually rust coming through the paint like they didn't put a proper primer before they painted them

Love deep bowl and fold speed is a great surprise!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is QUIET and Wow I can whip out a serious amount of cookies, pasta, sourdough bread with this heavy duty mixer and deep bowl. I added a plastic cover so I could chill things in fridge easily in same bowl.

The Second One Broke After 45 Seconds of use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was mixing meat for meatballs for the second time. Both broke after 45 seconds of use. Do not buy until KitchenAid figures out these issues. AVOID

So sad!
It worked for 30 seconds, and then totally stopped working.

Poor Quality Control - Failed in First Two Minutes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start with saying I love using KitchenAid Mixers. I'm on my fifth one. This one failed the first two minutes of operation. I'm told it is a faulty speed control board which my guess is, KitchenAid received defective ones. Stuff happens with anything mechanical. This could be avoided by testing the mixers, under normal load before shipping them to be sold. At this price point and with the reputation that was developed over many years, KitchenAid needs to fix this. Just my honest opinion. The mixer was sent back for a refund. I ended up purchasing from a different supplier and the 6 quart model. This 6 quart has worked perfectly no issues.

Fantastic mixer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use it at least once every 2x weeks. I cannot imagine going back to a smaller version or worse yet hand mixer for all I make and bake.

Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my head tilt kitchen aid for 12 years and loved it, but i needed something bigger as i was making more volume than in the past. The bowl lift is just so cumbersome and less user friendly than the head tilt and I am so disappointed. I called kitchen aid to see if I could return and get the larger head tilt and I was turned down.

Didn’t work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item in the first time I used it. It stopped working in under two minutes, never to resume. I had to ship it back and tried to exchange it, but the second one did the same thing. Very disappointed with this product as I had a previous KA 5qt that worked for about 40 years

Tough to get bowl in craddle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a 5.5 qt lift stand mixer and I am disappointed with this model. The first one I bought, the fuse blew out the first time I used it. KitchenAid was great with customer support and sent a replacement out ASAP. Now that I’ve used it a few times, I find the bowl extremely difficult to get in the bowl cradle/lift. When everything is aligned perfectly, you have to push so hard forward that the mixer moves and the bowl easily becomes misaligned with the nub on the back and the two brackets on the side. It is more frustrating than not and I end up angry with the purchase more often than not. I never had an issue with my older one. Once the stars align and the bowl is in place, the mixer works fine, although the same power level seems less powerful than my older mixer. Moral of the story, I shouldn’t have replaced my older mixer for what I thought was going to be an upgrade.

Can not rely on this brand anymore
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this KitchenAid mixer and on second time using it, it quit. Just stopped mixing and nothing would happen. For the price of these mixers their quality is crap. This is the 3rd KitchenAid mixer I've had and have had trouble with all 3 of them.

A Proven Winner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my first Kitchenaid stand mixer, I have purchased many others for family members, and atleast 4 others for myself...as an at home baker, I relied on the power and consistency of my kitchenaid mixers. I have gifted many to family members and friends who could not afford a Kitchenaid.

Bogs down making simple bread dough
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought with high expectations as my 6qt mixerbwas given to my kids. This new one literally gets stuck mixing basic bread dough. My old one was fabulous. I think KA changed motor types as this one is high pitched.

Returned
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 7 qt mixer in November 2025 to replace a 5 qt we already have. Plugged it in to make sure it worked and it did. A week before Christmas, I pulled it out to make cookies and it wouldn’t turn on. Did all the trouble shooting recommended and nothing. It has been returned for a refund. Haven’t decided on whether we will order another.
