The hinge is quiet and smooth. The 13 gallon is perfect for a kitchen. The best part about this brand is that there is no installation and it comes with sample bags ready to use. Their bags are also high quality bags.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, the inner plastic liner came cracked in two places along the top. I’m unable to get the liner out to put a trash bag around it, I found a trash compactor bag fit around the entire lid instead. The damage doesn’t get in the way of using the trash can, and the step function works very well and silently. The locking mechanism is an amazing addition if you need to keep the lid open. The can comes with liner bags, which is incredibly generous of EKO. Besides the damage, the garbage can is great. Very sleek looking, 50 liter capacity is perfect for my households needs. I haven’t noticed any garbage smell when the lid is closed.

However it stopped going up all of the way when I push the pedal down and it is way too pricy to mess up in that way. I love the size of it and how compact it is. I just feel like the pedal not working as well shouldn’t happen after having it for a couple of weeks. I don’t mind spending a good amount of money on something that works. But this isn’t it.

The easy open lid with foot pedal means hands free and that is almost a must. It works great and even has a lock to keep it open when exchanging bags. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now this is a high end trash can lol! It has a beautiful design , black/ grey matte finish which hides annoying fingerprints. Liners were also included! My favorite thing about it is the lid locking feature, makes it so easy to change. I'd highly recommend.
