Amazing scent but overall unsatisfied

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The herbal essence shine chamomile shampoo, made my hair so squeaky clean. As you can see from the photos, just how bubbly the shampoo gets. I am a pretty sensitive person when it comes to loud and strong fragrances, but the chamomile was very mild and calming.. I also have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine and some of the other shampoos that I’ve used really weigh my hair down, but not this herbal essence shine chamomile shampoo. It left my hair light and voluminous.

In fact, i had been experiencing an itchy scalp and this product helped soothe and treat it. It provides a sense of comfort and freshness in addition to a freshing scent that lasts for a long time. At first use, the smell is mesmerizing and was almost enough to convince me that this was a great product, however, at least 3-4 uses, I noticed my hair becoming less shiny and honestly felt like a residue was being left on it despite a vigorous wash. Not too sure what that could be, but it is definitely enough to keep me from continuing to use it.

As a greasy haired girl I find this shampoo hits the perfect balance of clean power, with a smooth consistency yet a great amount of suds yet lightweight which doesn’t make my hair feel heavy after I wash it. I also like that’s its gentle enough for everyday use. And you know a shampoo is good when your hair is frizz free even after air drying and surviving a hot New York City day. The scent also makes my hair smell feel clean and fresh and isn’t too overpowering.

Not for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was not a fan of this shampoo. Made my hair feel extremely dry at the ends, but oily at the roots. I think if they adjust the formula to be more hydrating it could probably be better. I had to switch shampoos after using this one because my hair felt damaged.

It left my hair feeling clean without drying it out, and after blow-drying my hair looked pretty indistinguishable from when I use my more expensive salon-purchased shampoo. It also stayed clean—I normally wash my hair every day, but I felt I could go an extra day between washes which was really nice. I also really enjoy the smell, it’s pleasant and not too overpowering. I do wish it was a tiny bit thicker, since it was hard to lather in my hands without some spilling, but that’s really the only complaint I have. I would repurchase!

It cleans my scalp very well without being too drying, though I do have an oilier scalp. Love the smell

Shiny and soft summer in a bottle
