myFirst Fone R2 Kids' Smartwatch - Mixed Berries/Dark Gray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are upsides and downsides to this children's device. Setup was very clunky and my husband, who is very well versed in tech, took a very long time trying to get it set up. We never were able to add all the family members we wanted to because it was so difficult and roundabout to accept the invitation and get fully connected. It is nice that you can prevent your childs from talking to just anyone, but severely limiting in that the clunky software and fully nonintuitive setup had you running in circles to add just one person. My son enjoyed having this watch and we really appreciated the function where it can be put to sleep during school hours. However, it was still confiscated at school because its being asleep still didn't keep my fidgety boy (8 years old) from playing with it during class. We enjoyed being able to message and call each other. For the price of the device I would say the picture/video quality is more than acceptable. We did however have signal issues during video calls fairly often. I liked the watch's capabilities: video call, automatic texting, voice messaging, camera, and a little newsfeed type of setup where we could send pics for the whole family to see and react to. I would have liked for my son to be able to compose his own eltext messages but I do think there is a very decent numner of pre-worded messages that can help you have a quick convo to touch base about whatever is needed if there's no time for a call. My husband and I were super interested in the tracking feature, but because of the clunky setup stuff, I was never actually able to see his location, even though my husband could. So much potential for this device was impeded by crappy software, but it also isn't very expensive. For us, we won't continue the subscription service sinvlce my son can't be trusted in school with it anyway.

It’s designed with everyday parents in mind, offering a stylish yet reassuring way to keep an eye on their kids. The lightweight and comfortable watch band makes it a daily companion, and I particularly appreciate the camera and tracking features. It’s been the best decision to try this watch and will be ordering more!

I love that i can track and communicate with my niece with this watch. I love that we can put it on classroom mode when she is at school.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kids' smartwatch is great! Easy to use and allows your child to text/call you without the need of a phone. You just download the app and set up your account. It also tracks steps, displays time, and has the option to change the background of the front screen. It also can play music and take photos. If you aren't ready for your kid to have a phone but a way to communicate with you this is a great option. The only down side of this watch is the battery life. It has to be charged every day. Sleek design and offers cute colors for kids.

The Cotton Candy colors are super cute and the watch looks even better in person. Setup was easy and the features work really great so far. We haven’t purchased the eSIM plan yet, but even without it, there are still plenty of fun and useful features to use. The screen quality is nice, the watch feels comfortable, and it’s been exciting for her to wear every day. Overall, a great first smartwatch for kids!

Parental controls are difficult & our son kept trying to SOS our husband. It fits him well & he enjoys using it otherwise. It has many features like GPS tracking & games.

Easy to setup and is a nice option for kids to have when having a full smartphone isn’t desirable. There are many apps to use and it’s easy to wear and keep on too. Kids will enjoy having this!

I feel like this is a great way to keep in touch with your kids without spending too much money. The battery though is terrible. The charge only lasts about 8 hours. So that was disappointing. I do think though it works for the target audience.

Love the gps in it. great watch overall, my daughter wears it to school. The battery dies before she comes home though. the set up was a little confusing but it took me about 10 minutes maybe 15 to get everything working.

She mainly uses it to.message me and her grandparents, and I really like that only approved contacts can communicate with her. The GPS function also gives me a little extra piece of mind. The only thing I don't love is needing a subscription for some futures. I wish more was included without extra monthly cost. But overall it's been a fun first smartwatch and she enjoys wearing it everyday..

The watch comes with a social circle that kids can post media and words to share with parents and approved others in circle. Sound quality was fine and photo quality was good. Great tracking app and if turned off it will ping location when done so. If you want to track and communicate with your kids but don't want to go all in freedoms a cellphone has highly recommended.

The set up process was simple and quick, and one of my favorite features it how is to stay connected with my child anytime. You can add important contacts, make calls, send messages, and feel more comfortable knowing your child can reach you when needed. The watch is comfortable, stylish and designed perfectly for kids - both functional and fun and the same time

I cant get a QR code to connect the device to the app. It wont connect to my network. I had high hopes for this product but was unfortunately disappointed.

The setup was pretty easy, the watch looks modern and not bulky, and I really like that it has GPS, calling, and video call features all in one device. What I personally appreciate most as a parent is being able to stay connected with my child without giving them a full phone yet. The quality feels good, the screen is bright, and my child was excited to wear it right away. It also feels reassuring knowing the watch is water resistant and designed specifically for kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this watch does what it says it will do. A few of my favorite parts are the message and call features. The camera is very clear for what it is, too. They usually work well with minimal lagging and it helps me have a peace of mind to be able to get ahold of him when needed. The one thing I haven't been able to fix is the gps. It does not always sync well. Also, the setup took a very long time. I think it's very basic, but if you are willing to put in the time for younger children it's a good alternative to a traditional cell phone.

It was easy to set up and connect to the parent app. The camera is just as good as a phone brand camera, but also user-friendly for my 3 year old...who by the way...LOVES this watch. She especially loves the music player and uses it like a boom box (she will never even know what a boom box is 🤣). It is definitely durable and thankfully this is very good news because my toddler can be very rough on devices. My only issue is not being aware of the paid subscription to use the phone capability. We won't be using that right away but will be useful once she starts VPK in August.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought that this watch was pretty cool for my son. He can message me with emoji, voice or video call, all worked very well. I just had to make sure the permissions on my phone were set so I could receive the calls or video chats correctly. He's 7 so being able to swipe up and down and know what to tap is pretty easy especially with the little icons next to it. One of the side buttons makes it easy to exit the current thing open and go back to the previous instead of trying to swipe back. I like that he can track his steps and have music. Which, I thought that the sound came out sounding pretty good. It's great that I can see where he is with this watch, though if he turns it off then it would just show the last location it was at. The accuracy could be a little better. The only downside is having to invite family members to use the app as well to message him through that. It's great for safety but also maybe some won't be willing to be adding another app to their phones...

My child loved the look of this watch right away, especially the fun customizable watch faces and ability to take pictures and call/message family. Once connected, the calling and messaging features worked well and have peace of mind without needing a full phone. The screen is bright and easy to for kids to use. That said, setup was much more difficult than expected. My hubby works in tech and even he struggled getting the app fully working and connected properly. We also could never get get the location tracking working, which was disappointing since that is a major feature for parents. Overall, the watch has some really great kid-friendly features, but the setup experience definitely needs improvement.
