Awesome value!
We absolutely love these little gem digs. They are only $1.99 at Target. You won’t find these or anything comparable elsewhere cheaper. My son has gotten between 2 to 7 gems in each dig kit. You need to make sure you follow directions and soak the kit before digging. Some of the gem pieces are smaller and if you don’t wet down all of the clay then you will throw them out accidentally. I am adding a photo of all the gems we have received from 6 kits so far.

My son loved this and it’s actually what sparked his interest into gems and crystals! Great Price and not to easy or to difficult.

Just no
I usually scan stuff like this with my Target app to look at reviews to see if it’s worth buying but today I didn’t and well big mistake. It was a total disappointment for my daughter and her best friend.

Was fun for my 5 year old and rocks inside were pretty. Only complaint is that the outter “rock” that they chisel through is some kind of softer concrete and it gets powdery all over the place they break it apart at. And if they powder gets wet it hardens like cement again. Not great to do on wooden deck but on sidewalk would probably be great.

Usually buy the dinosaur eggs and my son has a lot of fun. This was such a disappointment! I thought we got this in error. Turns out it is the rock

Just don't.
Three gray rocks literally the same color as the plaster they came out off. I have found more interesting rocks in my backyard for $0. Lol!

Garbage
What the heck did they put in? Looked like garbage. We’ve bought larger sets and dug up better stuff. Wouldn’t recommend

I bought 2 for my son, coming in with low expectations. Glad I didn't spend much, but wish I'd of put it towards something better. He was disappointed because what he got didn't resemble any of the pictured options.

Small tiny rocks that I could’ve found in the driveway.

Just dont buy it
Waste of money. Like other reviews my kid dug for awhile only to be disappointed with what looked like a piece of rod. It was the sea lily that others got. Big piece of plaster for a dime sized “fossil”. Don’t waste your money.

Nice crystals for those of us who know how to tell the difference
This is really cheap and everything is either a crystal or a fossil whether or not you got the one you wanted. Its not the companies fault you didnt get the exact one you had your eye on its a surprise mystery one dig kit so obviously you cant hand select the crystal you get. If you dont like crystals and fossils dont get the kit because that is what the kit says it contains!

Son loves it!
My son loved it! I was skeptical after all the bad reviews of only getting tiny specimens, but he would have loved it either way. He ended up getting 3 good size rocks out of each of the 2 he got!

Hands-on learning!
Great hands-on learning activity! My son enjoyed the excavation process, as well as identifying the mineral within. The price was very reasonable for the product.
