⁷Testing conducted by Apple in July and August 2025 using preproduction Apple Watch SE 3 (GPS + Cellular) and Apple Watch SE 2 (GPS + Cellular), each paired with an iPhone; all devices tested with prerelease software, Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable (Model A2515), and Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter (Model A2305). Charge time varies with adapter, region, settings, initial battery levels, usage, and environmental factors; actual results will vary.

Some features may not be available in all regions or languages. For feature and language availability and system requirements, see support.apple.com/en-us/121115.
⁹Emergency SOS requires a cellular connection or Wi-Fi calling with an internet connection from your Apple Watch or nearby iPhone. You can use cellular models of Apple Watch to make an emergency call in many locations, provided that cellular service is available. Some cellular networks may not accept an emergency call from your Apple Watch if your Apple Watch isn’t activated, if it isn’t compatible with or configured to operate on a particular cellular network, if isn’t set up for cellular service, or if the cellular network does not support emergency calling over IMS. See support.apple.com/108374 and apple.com/watch/cellular for more information.
¹⁰Not all features will be available if the Apple Watch is set up through Apple Watch For Your Kids. Check support.apple.com/en-us/109036 for details. Wireless service plan required for cellular service. Check apple.com/watch/cellular for participating wireless carriers and eligibility.

Q: Do you need an additional plan for the watch if you have an Apple iPhone and Verizon service? Also can someone at Target help you set up your watch once it’s purchased!
A: Yes, you have to add the device to your Verizon account for service (if you want to make calls directly from the watch.) A GPS only version is available if you do not need the cellular service.
submitted byEdweird - 21 days agoA: So from what I know is that the Watch shares a phone number with your iPhone and that sharing is 10 bucks a month. But that’s only if you want the watch to be a little more independent. If you just want the base gps model, you don’t need to pay for anything. As for the target question, it looks like you can reach out to the guest services and they’ll be able to help! I hope this was helpful! Have a nice day!
submitted byAppleguy - 17 days agoA: Hi, thank you for reaching out about Apple Watch SE 3. Yes, you will need to add a line of service for a cellular Apple Watch SE 3 to use its full features when away from your iPhone, which typically costs an additional $10 per month on Verizon. Q: Can this work without an iPhone
A: You need a iphone to activate it. Once activated there’s a lot you can do without the iPhone, but you need to initially have an iPhone
submitted byRich - 3 months agoA: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Apple Watch SE 3 No, an Apple Watch SE (or any Apple Watch) cannot work without an iPhone because it requires an iPhone for initial setup, pairing, and management through the Watch app. After the initial setup, a GPS + Cellular Apple Watch can perform many functions without the iPhone nearby, such as making calls, sending texts, streaming music, and receiving notifications, but this requires a separate cellular plan for the watch. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Are the bands changeable?
A: Yes the bands are changeable
submitted bysara - 3 months agoA: Yes, the bands are changeable. Bands that are designed for all of Apple's smaller watch sizes (38-42mm) will work with a 40mm Apple Watch SE 3, and any bands that are designed for Apple's bigger watches (43-46mm) will work for the 44mm Apple Watch SE 3. However, any of the bands intended for the Apple Watch Ultra will not work with any version of the Apple Watch SE 3 in any size.

Q: If this is purchased for a child, is it possible to restrict the text messages that I will receive on my cell phone from coming into the watch, while still allowing my child to have full calling/texting capabilities?
A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Apple Watch SE 3. That is a very common concern when setting up an Apple Watch for a child, and the short answer is yes, it is possible to prevent your personal text messages from showing up on the child's Apple Watch. The key to this is using Apple's Family Setup feature, which allows you to pair a cellular Apple Watch (like the Watch SE 3) to your iPhone for a family member who does not have their own iPhone. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: My son has a 16e cell phone. Will this watch work with that without paying an additional fee?
A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Apple Watch SE 3. This is a great question, and it involves two important factors: compatibility and cellular cost. In short: No, the iPhone SE (2016) is too old to be paired with the Apple Watch SE 3. You will need a much newer iPhone model. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.
