Doesn't straighten that good. I had to pass through my hair multiple times to get it to straighten. It was on the highest heat setting.I was going to a concert and just ordered these cause I could pick them up quickly and the price was ok. I know they are low priced but my other ones by Remington lasted years and were also low priced and worked great. I returned these the next day.I just wasn't impressed.

The plates do not smoothly straighten hair. It catches, snags, breaks hair and I need multiple goes to get the style. It heats quick enough and has the range of temps, but these features don’t offset the resulting damage.

I purchased this out of desperation when my straightener broke before an event. I actually cried while using this tool because I could feel it ripping my hair out. The plates don’t touch unless you grip at the top but it’s too hot to grip there. Using heat protectant just made it get stuck and not glide down my hair, which never happens with my other tools. Definitely returning.
