Q: Why is iron not an ingredient?

One-a-day multivitamins for women 50+ typically omit iron because postmenopausal women no longer lose iron through menstruation, and excess iron can build up in the body, potentially causing organ damage, making it safer to get iron from diet or targeted supplements if needed, rather than in a general multivitamin. Supplements for older adults focus more on calcium, Vitamin D, and B vitamins to support aging needs, while iron competes with other minerals for absorption anyway.

Definitely follow directions & take AFTER eating! I made the mistake of taking one just before eating & ended up throwing up the entire meal. The coating on these does taste awful; taking with juice helps a bit. Will keep taking in the hope the benefit outweighs the unpleasantness.

Tastes like Lucky Charms

If you've ever had Lucky Charms cereal, the vitamin coating on that cereal tastes exactly the same as these oversized horse pills. The only reaon I continue to purchase them is because I don't see a different 'over 50' option in ths brand - such as gummies, etc

Taste terrible & they are HUGE![

I hate hate hate the taste of these HUGE pills. Just being in my mouth a second before I try to swallow them makes me want to gag. They have a awful taste. They are also huge. My husband bought them by accident. The petite ones do not taste bad and they are so much smaller. I am giving them 3 stars because of the taste and size. I am throwing these away and buying the petite ones or maybe a different brand if I can find another brand that is small in size. What a waste!
