Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Skin Barrier Face Cream

lotion came separated. when i opened the tube it just started leaking liquid and the lotion came out in chunks. i dont have the box anymore so i'm not sure if it's expired.

It just makes my skin feel and look better. I’m a month from 81 y/o. Glad I found it.

This is the only thing that soothes my skin when it is reactive. Use with the spring water and my skin starts to heal.

Why is this so watery!?? It’s 90% liquid and 10% separated cream. Awful.

This was my go to product for years for my perioral dermatitis. I used it every night. I am so so so sad with the formula change my skin is greasy, irritated and bumpy. When I opened it a blue watery liquid came out and the consistency is all wrong. It separated in the tube and looks nasty. Not as thick and a different color. I hope that they go back to the old formula this was the only cream that helped my skin. This is heartbreaking.

I got this about 2 weeks ago. Very thick and moisturizing. I have facial redness and this calms it noticeably. Nothing else I've used ever did this. I'm sorry to see that other customers received Cicalfate that had separated into a watery phase and a thick portion. My tube was fine. I have heard that temperature is the key. If it's sitting at cold temperatures during shipping or storage it separates. Might be a good idea to order during warmer seasons.

Started using Cicalfate when was having radiation train my breasts. I actually used 3 Avene products and my skin was really good throughout all the treatments. The Cicalfate was so soothing and easy to rub in. Not greasy. Been using it ever since on my breasts and anywhere else I need it. My skin is sensitive so this cream works for me. Love it. Don’t ever change it.

Ciclefate used to be more like the consistency of lotion mixed with zinc paste. now a bunch of liquid comes out thenfinally the paste comes and it's completely different consistency. When i woke up it would still be there as I would not haverubbed it in and i applied it very thick, washing it off, the redness was gone, and ache was calmed and healing. Now however the water in this cream separates and it's coming put the tube. Theactual cream itself is now much thinner and watery, so it can't beapplied like a mask or a thick paste if you don't want to rub it in, it just runs off your face, it's horribly greasy and not soothing or calming at all, as of course before it would stay in place all night. I don't understand why they would change an iconic cream. I originally thought the cream was expired. Such a strange texture now for something that's supposed to be a protective cream. Avene will say they haven't changed the formula but they have! The formula did change! It used to be thick and it would have a bitof white cast til you rubbed it in well which was nice if you were letting it sit for a while. Now it's super watery and thin. There are literally thousands of reviews just like mine the last few months and people aren't that stupid! I will not be using any Avene products from now on and my family have used them for years.

Hands down the best thing to combat age and redness. I’m 65 and this cream is the first thing I put on my face and I sleep in it every night. I do mix it with a tinted spf during the day and it’s perfect for days I’m just not feeling like wearing makeup. Love this and pray they never change this formula!

This stuff works! I wanted to try a dupe of the la roche posay cicaplast, since they’re being sued. It does feel a little bit grainy but blends in.

Was given this by my dermatologist after Morpheus 8 treatment. Have been using and it’s incredible. Moisturizers and helped heal my skin in about 48 hrs.

I saw that this cream was going viral so I wanted to try it, since I needed a new cream. So far it’s been amazing on my skin paired with the Avene retinol. One downside is that it is a thicker, creamier, paste-like consistency, which some may not like. But as someone with oily skin it has surprisingly worked great on me. No new breakouts, my pores appear smaller. Definitely worth the buy!!!

Cicalfate is amazing! My skin has been red and dry since 2020. Cicalfate has eliminated the redness. The texture is thick without being heavy.

I have been using this products for years and I swear by it. My hands have not aged using Cicalfate. My hands have stayed soft and wrinkle free and I will continue using it.

I had high hopes for this cream. I kept hearing good things about it like how it would give you glass skin. However, there was so much water in the tube and even when I mixed it, water continued to pour out. Once I finally got to the cream, it was an odd texture and there was no way that I was gonna put it on my face. Very disappointed and had to return the product.

I am so disappointed to find my tube of Avene Cicaltate squirted clear watery substance on me. It was not easy to squeeze at first, so I put some pressure to release some product. Out came a little bit of hardened goop then a flush of clear viscous liquid! Very strange! I bought this tube just 2 months ago and it’s useless now! This used to be my reliable “go-to” product for red, bumpy, angry skin. But this experience proved otherwise. Just a waste of money!

I bought this tube based on the recommendation of a friend! Best decision I've made in a long time! It helped my incision heal in no time flat!

I don't know if there is something wrong with this product, but it says it's a cream and what I received is total liquid. Plan to see if I can return it.
