Love the pot but issues withtwist cover.
Love the pot but not the cover! The pot is a perfect size for cooking but the cover is for straining and sort of twists in. I felt that It was not useful as a cover because I did not like untwisting the cover to check on my food and I almost got burned. The perfect cover for me would be one that fits the pot similar to cuisineart’s other pot covers. That’s why I rated it a 3. I had to buy a separate cover from another place that fits pretty well. No twisting.

Used once, stained and pitted
We have many Cuisinart products and generally trust this brand, so when we needed a new stick pot with strainer lid, we chose this one. We used it for the first time last night. Boiled sweet potatoes in water without adding salt or anything. Strainer lid was awesome. Hand washed with Dawn and couldn't get water line clean. Let it air dry and this morning, the bottom of the pan has black spots. We will need to return this pot. Unacceptable quality... We had some of our pots for decades and never had an experience like this.

This is a pretty standard pasta pot; I feel it’s a little pricey for what you get. Two issues to be aware of: it can be a little difficult to secure the lid through twisting and the handles can get extremely hot (use hand protection when lifting it off the stove).

Wont Boil on Gas Stove
I have a gas stove and cannot get water to boil in this pot. I followed the directions to the carefully and had the flame set to medium, but the water just evaporates and never boils. I will need to return as this is useless.

Doesnt clean well
Like the locking lid to drain pasta and boils well. However handles get very very hot as does lid so have to use pot holders to dump out which can make it awkward for me. Also, doesn’t come clean well. Clean right after use and it has spots and stuff that doesn’t come off the bottom.’ Regret buying this. Only had few months and want to dump it but husband likes it. Seems like waste of $50.00 to me.

Pitted and scratched immediately
This is a beautiful pot and the interlocking lid is amazing but unfortunately in just a few months of light use it has pits that formed on the bottom and lower edge of the pot. After reading online i found it is a common problem but incredibly disappointing nonetheless. Apparently you shouldn’t salt the pasta water unless it’s boiling which I’m pretty sure we already do but there are 5-10 visible pits that you can feel with your finger nail on the bottom. Research says these are not unsafe nor do they represent a reason to stop using but I’ve never spent close to $50 on a pot that became so visibly damaged so quickly. Do not use metal utensils which we did once when it was brand new not knowing and it has many scratches. I could live with that and I will continue to use this pitted and scratched pot but will not purchase again nor recommend. The handles are sturdy, the lid is awesome, but if the likely aluminum layer is already exposed through the visible pits and aluminum has been deemed safe by scientists, I would not invest this much again and am so disappointed. I have spent $50 on pans and pots that have lasted for a decade so to have this one have many visible pits in three months, it makes me sad every time I use it.
