Q: Is there a trick to getting the lights to work?

  • A: Turn off the light switch when charging, do not turn on the light during the day. It will last three or four hours when it is full. So if you turn on the day, it will not light at night.

Great patio umbrella

I love the size and the look of this umbrella. It does need to be weighed down. We used 4 patio pavers. I don’t like that the umbrella rotates in the lightest wind. I’ve also noticed some fading of the color from the sun. Overall im happy with it.

Love it!

Lights never worked

Thank goodness for Target’s return policy. I bought this on sale in April, got it early May. Ordered the wrong type of base with it, so had to wait another 2 weeks for the base to arrive…by the time I got it set up, I was super disappointed to find that the lights don’t turn on. Called Costway customer service, was told it was likely due to a defective solar panel and they would send me a new one…catch is that would take at least a month. Waiting, waiting…new panel arrived end of June. The lights still don’t work. Finally I decided to return this thing while I still could and shop for a different brand of offset umbrella. Don’t waste your time with this junk.
