The Atomix puzzle toy offers a unique twist on traditional brain teasers, reminiscent of the classic Rubik's Cube but in a spherical design. Guests appreciate its challenging nature, making it suitable for older kids and adults alike. While some find it a fun fidget toy, others note that it may be too complex for younger children. May be a little harder than it seems

I bought this for a 7 year old's Easter basket. It is a little harder than it seems. I believe he's up to the challenge, though.

    Stocking stuffer

My 12 yo old twins found it quite challenging and they are really good at puzzles and troubleshooting. But one twin was able to get one side of it solved.

    A little frustrating

My 10 year old was frustrated by this but enjoyed just moving it around. My 6 year old loved this just as a twisty fidget toy. My teens found it interesting, and solved it a few times. This has a wide appeal but maybe not for the intended purpose of being a puzzle.

    Almost like 1982

Ohmygoodness, I still have the original from from the early 80s. My son, who is 7, loves the older version lol. But, this is great for kids who are above average. My son gets so bored with toys, it's difficult to challenge him. The original 1982 version is more challenging though.

Lots of Fun!! Has minor issues

This puzzle is lots of fun, definitely takes a while to learn how to maneuver it. For parents I recommend looking up “how to solve orb puzzle”. I wouldn’t say this toy is for 7 year olds definitely like 12+. It is a bit loud due to all the twisting parts, much more than a rubix cube. Sometimes hard to twist as all parts needs to be lined up, or the “orb” bits can get stuck in certain sections. Overall I am happy with this toy. I feel like it’s worth the price.

Very clunky and hard to turn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really didn’t enjoy this fidget toy very much. It was very hard to turn and it was difficult to get the rows to line up such that you were able to move the beads around. I think the concept is neat but it was just too clunky to be any fun. If they improved the design and made it turn more easily, it could be a really fun toy to keep you busy for quite a while. Bottom line, I would not recommend this toy.

It’s different in a good way!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is it fun, yes. But there is a learning curve with younger children, which makes playing a tad more complicated. The kids had fun which is most important, but they did tire of game relatively quickly which isn’t a good thing in my book. I think we will keep trying to see if it will grow on them, but definitely something different for family game night.
