Seems like an early prototype with too many flaws. The flat iron does not clamp hair well. End of curls have a right angle turn causing an abnormal shape. Took a while to adjust to ergonomics of wide handle. Poor job of explaining how to utilize the cool air function.

Read the directions
I was so excited to use this, popped it out of the box and was ready to return it. Turns out after reading the directions, I wasn't using it correctly to curl. Once I read the directions, it was so easy and works great! I have fine hair and it actually hold my hair between the plates without pulling.

Love This Tool - Easy To Use Too
I’m a little challenged using a flat iron but love the more modern curls. Traditional curling iron easy to use, but too traditional. This CHI product is the perfect solution. Easy to use, heats up very quickly with several heating levels (temperature is marked), the metal glides your hair off easily but keeps it on when you want to. I have a chin length layered bob and the rod is not too big. Worth the price.

I’ve had numerous Chi irons over the years and this one by far is my favorite. It makes the most beautiful curls and they last for days. It works great at straightening my naturally curly coarse hair also. I don’t get a cramp in my hand from squeezing the Chi Air Setter because it has a clamp! It glides so smoothly down my hair. The plates are perfectly aligned so it does not pull my hair out. I love that I get the perfect little bump under on my ends because of the rounded edge. Overall awesome purchase!

Life saver!!
I cannot tell you how much this product has changed my life. I recently went to europe and usually when I travel abroad I always have to bring both my curler and straightner. However, the invention of this product has reduced the amount of hair tools I had to bring. The curls produced by this tool is beautiful and its very quick. I highly recommend!!

I naturally have curly hair, and I don't straighten it that often as I find I have more style options with my natural hair. I say this because when I curl my hair after straightening...my curls fall within 30 minutes. SERIOUSLY. After using the CHI Air Setter I'm now more excited than ever to straighten my hair and have the option to curl it. I straightened and curled it for a wedding and my curls lasted ALL NIGHT! This tool is absolutely unreal. I hope CHI never discontinues it! Worth every. single. penny.

Best waves ever !
I love this product! At first I was struggling between getting a straightener or a curler but I’m happy I went for this one instead. The straightener did a good job and once I was ready to switch the style I simply curl it.

I love, love my CHI Air Setter!!! I’ve used CHI products for years & like always it doesn’t disappoint! I love how easy you can curl & straighten your hair with this product without damaging your hair. It’s also very convenient when traveling, because it’s 2-1 which I don’t have to carry a lot of hair styling tools. I would highly recommend!

Game changer!
I love my CHI Air Setter! This is my first time having a CHI product and it did not disappoint. I like the cool air option before styling your curls because it truly helped my curls last ALL day! I’ve never been able to keep my curls intact all day and this did it for me!
