A: L- this product will chop vegetables, hard cheeses, nuts, herbs, garlic and more. All parts are dishwasher safe. If you are looking for something larger, I suggest the Cuisinart White Vegetable and Fruit Chopper which is also sold at Target. Hope this helps!

Q: I have a very old cat and we need to take his canned cat food and mince it or he cannot eat it? Will this Hand chopper work for that? Thank you, Sheila

A: Sheila- Oh how we love our pets-they are like family. While it is possible that this item will work for this task, I would recommend our mini food processor instead. This can be found at Target or online by using the search function and entering "072-04-1009" for a corded item that you will find helpful for all of your chopping needs, or for a cordless, rechargeable option, we also offer a new item that you can find by entering "072-04-0550" in the search field. Either of these would help cop up your beloved cat's food.

Q: Can you chop without using the compartment at the bottom?

A: Thanks for your inquiry. You can use the Push Chopper without the bottom lid, but always make sure you are chopping on a safe surface like a cutting board.

This cuisinart chopper looks great, but will break after a few uses due to a design flaw in the center support. It is made of plastic and after awhile it just breaks. I tried two - and am now done. Looking for a different brand.

It sucks getting old, especially if you lived back when dentist gave candy after your visit and parents thought lots of fillings was normal. Now, as my warranties all start to expire, I find my teeth are an issue. I eat healthy and was starting to have trouble chewing nuts, cold cereal, and stuff like that. I got one of these to serve as pre-chew teeth and for everything above it works great and fast. Looks like all the negative reviews are for onion and garlic chopping which I prefer to do with a knife.

I got it and with egg was ok, then I try to chop was onions and garlic and good luck after more than 30-50 press the onions were smash and the garlic I ended up doing by hand. I called for the waranty and the lady told me to contact the seller and she didn't really like to help me. My parents in law laughef when they saw it because they have the same experience. and their advice was put in the the garbage

DO NOT BUY THIS! This is a good concept. Who doesn’t want an easy way to chop items? This is not a solution it’s garbage. Literally. I threw it away. I added diced onion to the hopper and after several chops there was little difference. The lid is a mess to keep on. I used it twice and it broke. I couldn’t throw it away fast enough. Don’t waste your money.

The plastic insert between the blades constantly gets stuck or will chop peices of black plastic into the food. my cheap oxo chopper never had any issues!

Should have read reviews before buying. I had hoped to chop green onions and cilantro. Not even close. It did chop cranberries and jalapeño peppers ok. I’ve used it now and can’t return. Slightly disappointed.

I threw away the box so i cannot return it but it does not cut at all and the rubber piece that holds the ingredients in does not stay… i chopper onion and celery and it went everywhere.

It worked fine the first time. When I tried to use is again, I noticed that it was jammed. I took it apart and put it back together multiple times to try and fix that jam but no luck. Disappointed in this product.
