Newer scent is actually good to me
Contrary to other opinion, I really like the new scent. The moment I smelled it I was sort of rejuvenated. I do understand it is a bit more of a body/hair wash type scent, opposed to traditional neutral or citrus used for cleaning, but the smell is actually just while you wash—not something that lingers after you rinse! So for me it makes the actual wash-experience refreshing.

The content of the package is fine but the 2of the bottles were damaged and could not be restored to normal condition. They should not have been sold to anyone in this condition. Only one of the three was undamaged.

why does it smell like rotten fruit???
You did not do something right with this new formula because the scent lingers on everything. When I make spaghetti for dinner I do not want to taste dish soap on my plate with it. It's disgusting. Where does your company get off thinking that we want our plates, pots and pans, plastic containers, drinking glasses, mugs smelling like floral scented dish soap all the time??? That is not what anyone is looking for. The old dawn the one you had made since the 1970's was perfect and the smell never lingered on anything it left everything smelling fine and the kitchen used to smell so good after all the dishes were done and it was comfort to so many people. Well not anymore because what you are currently making smells so bad. It kind of smells like strong body wash from one of those stores in the mall and it's just too much. Not only does it make the dishes stink but our hands stink too. Here is where it really gets bad because about one hour after using this product there is this bad aroma of rotten produce in the air. I notice it and I am sure others notice this too. I threw it away and am now using Ivory dish soap. At least that smells good. I have been buying dawn since the early 2000's and will never purchase this gross stuff ever again. You ruined it.

awful new scent
I've used Dawn for years for hard to clean greasy things but the new scent is so awful I had the throw out the bottle. Searching for a new go-to product.

My favorite dish soap
I use this on a daily!! It removed crease and food residue especially on the potato peeler. It removes stains off clothing too. My mom loves using this as a stain remover for clothes. It has a clean scent.

Hate the new smell
Just got through my older refill jug and started a new one. Really hate the new smell. Why did you change it???? It is way too overpowering now. Not everyone wants stronger floral scents in their life. Please change it back or give us options!

Horrible Overpowering New Scent
Like all of the other reviews this new scent is terrible. The only positive reviews I see are from the influencers that receive free products. The smell was so strong it lingered throughout my home. The smell made me feel ill I had to throw out the bottle and discontinue use. Please bring back the original scent.

I only use Dawn dish soap. Nothing works even close to as good as Dawn Dish soap when it comes to grease build up or food stuck to a pan.. And the fact that they help ducks and wildlife is just a bonus

The soap is great the new scent is AWFUL! It smell like someone mixed all of my grandmothers perfumes together. Please, please, PLEASE go back to the original scent, or at least give use the option between the two.

I have been using DAWN, since it came out in 1972. My mother received Dawn in the mail to try it out. She loved it so much. And I have followed her footsteps. I have only used a different brand once or twice. I am a huge loyal customer for Dawn!

We have used nothing but Dawn for decades and decades... but the new scent is fricking horrendous, and now that you've confirmed it's here to stay, we'll never buy another bottle again. Goodbye forever, P&G.

Worth it
Dawn is a brand name that's worth it. You get a lot of use out of it for what you pay, and it smells nice but not in an overwhelming way. It leaves no residue after being rinsed off dishes.

Overpowering and disgusting new scent
The “new” scent is disgusting. It over powers everything. I don’t want my dishes to smell like laundry soap. I don’t mind if something is mildly scented but this makes every smell like cheap perfume. I hate everything about it and will discontinue the use of dawn

Dawn-the GOAT of dish soap
Nothing beats Dawn. Hands down the best dish soap. A lot of companies try to copy it, but they just fall short. Dawn Ultra cuts through grease so easily, leaves my dishes sparkling clean, and smells fresh without being overpowering. I love it so much I even use it to wash my car and my dog—it’s just that good.
