Dawn Ultra Dishwashing Liquid Dish Soap - Original

A: Just opened a new bottle today, didn’t know they changed the scent. While I didn’t use enough to make me sick or anything, the new scent is truly horrible so it’s time to change brands, I can’t remember a time I didn’t use Dawn so this is a true bummer. First Tide went to crap now Dawn, I guess everything is just going down hill from here.

A: Completely agree! The new scent gave me a horrible allergic reaction and asthma attack. I had to throw away the whole bottle. I had no idea that the classic original scent was gone and replaced!!!

A: TARGET please remove this choice, YOU are NOT shipping the Original Scent Dawn, it was discontinued July 2024 per P&G. They "Clean"" Scent STINKS, JUST AWFUL. CAUTION, !!

A: The new Dawn scent is horrible. Something in that perfume is bad for people with fragrance sensitivities that never had a problem with original Dawn. Please go back to the tried and true original.

A: I got my house cleaned from cleaners and they used this product to clean the kitchen. I have been sick since then. Got severe headached and eye irritation.

A: Surprised to find I was not the only one that had trouble with this new overwhelming scented product that gave me an allergic reaction. Ordered on Target’s site showing this as original scented!

A: Agreed! New scent is horrible and won't leave hands or dishes! And the ad did show I was getting original scent.

A: The new scent is not good. Smells like a bad air freshener.

A: Yes, please share what brand you moved to. I am boycotting P&G altogether due to the overabundance of perfume they are using, not only in Dawn but Tide, as well.

A: This new scent is disgusting, I cannot figure out why Dawn would change it's tried & true scent and make it smell like air freshener. Let them know! Bring back the original

A: What brand? I hate the smell as well. It won't rinse away. I cannot serve food or cook on dishes that smell like perfume.

A: Talked to company today. Said the "original Dawn" has been replaced with "Clean Scent'. I told them when washing dishes this new scent caused a lung issue and I couldn't breathe.

A: This is a comment. The "new" Dawn scent smells terrible. I washed my smoothie cup with this and it smelled like perfume. I don't want my cups or dishes to smell or taste like perfume. The smell is overwhelming. Bring back the "original" scent. Does anyone have any recommendations for a different dishwashing liquid that doesn't smell like perfume?

A: Nor their "original" dawn scent. They changed the scent and the forumla. The new forumula made my hands sting and itch and hated the smell. I used my beloved Dawn for 30 years, now switched brands.

A: Agree and the new scent smells awful I had to throw it away!

A: I got a headache too. Why do companies mess with a classic with strongs sales. Switched brands.

A: I suggest writing the company as well. Personally, I am boycotting this brand until they bring the old scent back. It’s one thing to introduce a new scent, but to replace the original and trick us with the blue color and the duck? Outrage

A: And the taste doesn't wash off. I'm gonna miss you old Dawn. You are losing customers.

A: No they stopped making it in 2024 and now this stuff smells and you waste tons of water trying to get ride of the taste when all you used was a tiny dot on wet hands to wash something. I thought people exaggerated. They did not. It's terrible. I'm done.

A: Dawn is not designed to be used in the dishwasher.
