A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Google Pixel Watch 3 - Wifi
The Google Pixel Watch 3 utilizes an altimeter, which senses changes in atmospheric pressure, combined with movement detection, to determine floors climbed. A typical "floor" is registered with a vertical gain of approximately 10 feet (3 meters).

A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Google Pixel Watch 3 - Wifi
Yes, a Wi-Fi-only Google Pixel Watch 3 will work with Consumer Cellular, but its functionality is limited to when it's connected to Wi-Fi or when its paired phone is nearby via Bluetooth. The watch will not have independent cellular service, as Consumer Cellular does not support LTE for devices other than Apple Watches at this time.

Yes, the Pixel Watch 3 can use tap-to-pay via Google Wallet directly from the watch, and you do not need your phone to make a purchase. The watch uses its own NFC chip to complete transactions at contactless payment terminals, though you will need to set up the Google Wallet on the watch first, usually with a linked phone.

Q: Is it possible to apply parental controls if I am getting this watch for a young child?

A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Google Pixel Watch 3 - Wifi.
Currently, the Google Pixel Watch 3 is not designed for children and lacks the specific parental control features found on dedicated kids' smartwatches like the Fitbit Ace LTE. While you can use a Google account for a child with the Google Family Link app, there are significant limitations when it comes to the Pixel Watch itself.
Here's what you need to know:
Pixel Watch is for adults: The Pixel Watch is intended for adult use and requires a standard, unsupervised Google account for setup.
Family Link incompatibility: You cannot directly set up a Pixel Watch using a child's supervised Google account managed with Family Link. If you try, the process will fail.
Limited parental control: Because you can't link the watch to a supervised account, you lose the ability to use core Family Link features to manage the device, such as:
Setting screen time limits.
Monitoring app usage.
Blocking apps.
Using advanced location tracking.
Dedicated kids' smartwatches: For a child, a device like the Fitbit Ace LTE is a much better option. It is specifically designed for children and offers features that parents need, such as:
Built-in parental controls and monitoring.
School Time and Downtime features.
Emergency contact features that don't dial 911.
Advanced location tracking.
If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Can you check your heart rhythm and also your blood pressure on the app?
Do you know the differences between this and the Fitbit Sense? I'm trying to decide between the two.
submitted by CM - 8 months ago
A: Great question, CM. Unfortunately, the Pixel Watch 3 cannot track your blood pressure. However, it can detect your heart rhythm. When you use the Fitbit ECG app, your heart rhythm data is analyzed for signs of AFib. For more information, here’s an article to view: https://support.google.com/googlepixelwatch/answer/13783955?hl=en&sjid=4984941481178094170-NC

A: Hi CM, thanks for reaching out about Google Pixel Watch
The Google Pixel Watch 3 can track heart rhythm using the ECG app, which analyzes data for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib). However, it does not have the ability to measure blood pressure. To use the ECG app, ensure the Fitbit app is set up on your phone, your watch is connected, and you are in a quiet, relaxed environment. Open the ECG app on your watch, follow the on-screen instructions, and place your finger on the crown while the countdown is in progress.

Q: Is the back of the watch that touches the skin nickel-free?
submitted by Lisa - 1 year ago
A: Great question, Lisa. The Pixel Watch 3 adheres to rigorous design specifications and meet extensive test requirements to minimize the potential for reaction but may contain materials that customers with skin sensitivities should be aware of:
Nickel:
The amount of potential nickel falls below the strict nickel restrictions set by the European REACH regulation. While nickel exposure is unlikely to cause a reaction, be aware of the possibility in case you're susceptible to nickel-related reactions.

Solid smart watch
First, the Pixel we got at pickup is an international version, so it initially displayed other languages until the language was set. This did not affect functionality or warranty. This review compares the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and the Google Pixel Watch from the perspective of shopping for an older parent, not a tech enthusiast. Smartwatches can be a very good option for older adults, especially those who already wear a watch and frequently miss phone alerts. Moving notifications to something already worn can reduce missed calls, unnecessary worry, and repeated check-ins. The downside is cost. Good smartwatches are expensive, and a stripped-down, senior-focused version would be ideal. Still, current models can work with the right setup and expectations. Between these two, the Galaxy Watch 7 is more forgiving in everyday use. It requires less initial adjustment, fewer repeated actions like passcode entry, and less ongoing troubleshooting once configured. The Pixel Watch stands out for fast, natural voice response and strong alerts. However, its band attachment design, wallet security behavior, frequent app prompts, and less intuitive settings introduce extra friction. Those issues are manageable for tech-savvy users, but can be frustrating for older adults or caregivers supporting them. Overall, both watches are capable and reliable. The deciding factors aren’t specs or features, but small usability details that add up over time. When choosing a smartwatch for an older adult, simplicity, predictability, and ease of use matter far more than technical capabilities.

Almost perfect
Felt like it wasn't as customizable as other watches. When you go to log a workout, the stats just weren't as clear to see and customizable as I would like. The workout wouldn't always be visible while I was doing an activity. Very comfortable fit and looked nice, but ended up returning for something that was more workout friendly.

Pretty good
Pretty good worth the price has some voice command issues with making calls but I think there will be a update coming soon a lot of people are complaining about that. Other than that works perfectly helps me in my everyday life and it's just a real cool watch to have. You're going to want to upgrade the band though if you have sensitive wrists but I like it a lot also came in perfect condition from Target 😁

If you want to use daily, you can't, because it can never leave the charger!
The endless charging is ridiculous! I bought this for my husband to replace his fitbit (fitbit dies every year). This watch is worse as he has to charge twice a day. How are you supposed to capture sleep data if you have to charge it overnight. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchase as I would have NEVER purchased this watch.
1 reply from Google Team team - 1 year ago
Hey there. We’re sorry to hear your husband’s experience with the Pixel Watch 3 hasn’t been the best. Here’s some tips to get more battery life: 1. Shorten the screen timeout: Swipe down > tap Settings > Display > Screen timeout, and choose a shorter time, like 15 seconds. This means your watch goes to sleep more frequently when you're not using it. 2. Turn off Tilt-to-wake feature: Swipe down > tap Settings > Gestures > turn off "Tilt-to-wake". 3. Reduce the screen timeout period: Swipe down > tap Settings > Tap Display > turn off "Always-on Display". We’re here anytime you need us: https://support.google.com/googlepixelwatch/gethelp?sjid=1168929876280557452-NC

A Premium quality watch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly, I Love the elegant and sleek look. This watch is light weight yet is quality made. The screen is large, bright and very clear. It was super easy to connect to my phone and use the app to adjust settings. The battery lasts all day for me and charges fairly quickly (I charge it while in the shower or bathing my kids). I Love that i can use the fit bit app to track my steps and it alerts me when I've been sitting too long. All in all, i have no complaints and this watch is worth the buy.

Excellent smartwatch.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Pixel Watch 3 is a well-designed and user-friendly smartwatch that delivers a smooth experience. It tracks steps, exercise, sleep patterns, and more, making it a great companion for those focused on health and fitness. Additionally, it seamlessly pulls in texts and emails, keeping you connected without needing to check your phone constantly. Battery life lasts up to two days, making it less of a hassle since I don't have a bunch of tech to charge constantly. The overall design is sleek and modern, but one small drawback for me is the watch’s knob. I personally find it sticks out too far and feels a bit awkward. If it were more flush with the watch body, it would be perfect. That aside, the Pixel Watch 3 is a great smartwatch with excellent functionality and ease of use.

Elegance and Technology on your wrist
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pixel Watch 3 (45mm) is a smartwatch designed to impress. From the moment you hold it, the first thing you notice is its elegant and minimalist design, with much thinner bezels than previous models. Its screen is large, bright (2000 nits—it’s like a lighthouse!), and completely visible even in direct sunlight. Plus, the glass has a premium feel that screams "quality." This watch isn’t just good-looking; it’s powerful. Performance is super smooth, thanks to Google finally adding a decent chip that makes everything run fast, with no lag when opening apps or using features. Speaking of features, the Fitbit integration takes it to another level: you get detailed health metrics, sleep tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, and those alerts telling you to move when you’ve been sitting too long (even if it hurts to hear the truth). My favorite part is how seamlessly it integrates with Google’s ecosystem. If you use things like Google Maps, Assistant, or control smart home devices, this watch feels like a mini command center on your wrist. And the fact that you can now use Maps offline? It’s a simple but super handy detail.q If you’re already deep into the Android ecosystem and want a watch that looks amazing and works as a true smart companion, the Pixel Watch 3 is a great choice. It’s pricey, yes, but what it offers is top-notch. If you’re not very tech-savvy or don’t plan to use all the features, you might not get the most out of it. It's a significant step forward for Google. Would I buy it? If you’re on Android and want something beautiful and functional, absolutely.

With a ton of fabulous features and makes connectivity and being on-the-go easy, as well as activity levels very trackable! It’s especially wonderful to be able to access text messages and phone calls with response options that include keyboard and voice-to-text. The only downside is that it must be charged every day… but it’s totally worth it, as this watch it will get a ton of use and helps make life easier all around! Highly recommend!

Android users will LOVE this watch!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Google Pixel 3 watch. It has been a seamless addition to my android phone and has allowed me to not need my phone always nearby. It conveniently takes calls, relies messages and comfortably reminds me to get my steps in every day with a little buzz. It has made my every day routines easier and has truly helped me get up and move more often. The fit is beautiful, and does not irritate my wrist at all. It feels almost "soft and rounded" to wear. The screen is crisp, clear and very responsive to my gestures and touch. I did have some connectivity issues with the watch disconnecting from my phone and it being difficult to reconnect. However, I did get it reconnected and haven't had a problem since. I highly recommend this smart watch for Android users!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really lovely product from unboxing to build. The screen is well lit and bright, the default watch face was well organized and had everything I needed.
