The Levoit PlasmaPro® 400S-P Smart Air Purifier refreshes the air in an area up to 1,755 ft² (1 ACH) with noise levels as low as 22dB. The device filters at least 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns and removes VOCs, odors, fumes, and smoke with 3-stage filtration. The laser dust sensor scans the surrounding air for airborne particles and displays the amount detected on the PM2.5 display. With smart controls on the VeSync app, you can control air purifier settings no matter where you are, connect to third-party voice assistants, and receive real-time notifications about air quality and filter life.

Does not remove cigarette smoke!
I have a small condo, upstairs unit and the downstairs neighbor cigarette smoke is coming in our condo. I have 6 air purifiers all on the highest settings and this unit DOES NOT REMOVE THE CIGARETTE SMOKE! It is extremely loud on the highest setting. This unit is new. I do not recommend buying this product.

READ THE START UP INSTRUCTIONS
4 stars because although we love everything about this air purifier, we feel the packaging can be considered a bit deceptive if you don’t read all of the start up instructions. The filter is already in the air purifier when you purchase but it’s covered in plastic. So the purchaser has to open up the box, open up the air purifier and remove the plastic from the filter before reinstalling and operating it. If you’re good about reading instruction then you are safe but some people are not good about reading the instructions.

Not good for cigarette smoke
It doesn’t help in a connecting condo where the others smoke. My condo still smells of smoke. Was hoping this would help in a small living area…..

Best HEPA purifier
We have two of these and they work great. I really like that you can see the level of particles on the top of the filter. Replacement filters are 50 dollars are usually have to be replaced about every 3-4 months. Got this during the Canadian fires and was surprised how high the particulates were upon getting it started. Feel much better about the baby being upstairs with clean air.

Best purchase ever!
I’ve had this for about 6 months now. I wanted to wait a while before I reviewed it so I could get through my heater and air conditioner going. I mainly got this because I’m in an apartment and my neighbor below me thinks her apartment is infested with all that is evil so one day there is smudging and the next is garlic sprays and the smell is just too much. So this has pretty much eliminated that problem. The garlic is still lingering sometimes but I can deal. My family also all has allergies and this year they have been horrible so this purifier has saved us when we are home. We can sleep, taste our food, see clearly. It’s pretty nice. I also noticed when it started to warm up that I was starting to see fruit flies in the filter. I vacuum it regularly. I wasn’t expecting it to catch any bugs. Sure enough, it sucks those little fellas right in too. This really was a solid purchase.

Terrible, foul smell after a short use
The purifier continues to give off a foul, sour smell after a short time of use. I just purchased a new filter to try and resolve this issue at the end of May and by early July it was already beginning to smell this way again. Now in late July we can’t even use it anymore because it makes the room smell terrible. This seems to be a consistent problem that customers are having with Levoit’s products and they are not fixing the issues. Do not purchase this purifier. If you have already purchased the purifier don’t waste any more money on new filters and demand your money back.

Levoit Core 400S Air Purifier
My wife and I are plagued by summer allergies and gave the Levoit Core 400S air purifier a try. The unit was easy to setup. You can use the unit manually or by the VeSync app. The air quality was much improved with the unit installed in our living room. So much so, that we purchased another for our bedroom. The unit is very quiet, especially running on low fan. The digital display shows the settings and the actual current particle count. Being able to setup a cleaning schedule is also a nice plus. With the summer air quality alerts that have been occurring, I'm glad we have these air purifiers to provide clean air to breathe.

It works great so far and I can tell it’s working, especially with the current wildfire smoke from Canada. I don’t wake up as stuffy. Very quiet on auto setting. Touch screen is very easy to understand. Biggest challenge is being able to contact support when you have a question or an issue. No way to talk with a person. Email can take a few days to get an answer, If support was easier would be 5 stars.
