Gift
I bought this as a Christmas present. I cannot attest to the performance of the filtered water dispenser at this time.

Essential
After visiting my son and trying his LifeStraw pitcher, I was impressed enough to get one for myself. The improvement in water quality is notable; it tastes significantly cleaner and fresher, addressing the issues often found in municipal water due to aging pipes. The pitcher combines effective filtration with a well-made, attractive design that fits smoothly into my kitchen. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking to improve their drinking water.

Don't make the same mistake i made
I purchased a LifeStraw Home dispenser, and it started leaking almost immediately. This is a well-documented problem that many other customers have reported, yet the company continues to sell the same flawed design without fixing it. I contacted support over a month ago, provided all requested documentation, and was promised a replacement. Since then, I’ve received no updates, no tracking, and no response to follow-ups. This is not just a defective product — it’s a company that ignores its customers. Selling a product with a known defect and then ghosting people when it fails is unacceptable.

Weird residue and weird taste
I have owned and used the large plastic at home water filter for a year. I have replaced the one filter every three months and just barely replaced both- the larger filter that is supposed to be replaced once a year and the smaller filter. I rinsed it under cool water for 60 seconds. I filled the pitcher and dumped it like six times before using the water and now four days later after filling and dumping and testing the water I am still getting this film or this white powdery residue or something floating to the surface of my water after I boil the water. I don’t see it when I get it straight from the dispenser, but as soon as I boil it to make tea all of those little particles or whatever it is seems to be float to the surface. When I wipe the cup, it appears to be a white powdery substance. The water doesn’t taste the same as it usually does. I am freaked out and upset by this and I’m not sure what to do. Did I receive faulty filters? Do I just need a replacement? Can I exchange these ones? I’ve always liked this product and recommended it to my friends, but I am upset by this.

Could be better
Holds a good amount of water but difficult to move around to get it to a water source. A little difficult to take apart to clean and don't love that it's plastic.

Drips! Design Flaw!
I’ve had this for over a year. It’s been leaking for quite some time. Not always and sometimes just a drip here and there but more and more I come into the kitchen to find a puddle on my wood floor. Not good! A def design flaw. Y’all should fix it! Cuz the water tastes great.

Great (no) taste
I’ve been drinking Target’s Good&Gather bottled water, which is awesome: no taste and crisp. This filter results in water that is perfectly tasteless but not quite crisp. To be fair Target’s water says it uses advanced filtration and reverse osmosis, so it’s not completely comparable. I am pleased with the lack of taste and other benefits of Lifewater’s filter though. It’s nice to not feel the need to buy water. I have recommended the filter to my mom. Please consider redesigning the spout at the bottom to be straighter so water doesn’t collect.

Wanting wait a few more
Wanting wait a few more days until I wrote this review. Followed the instructions rinsing the filter several times and still I taste something off! I’m kind of bummed, that I spent this amount of money for it not to taste fresh and without a chlorine aftertaste.

Quality difference in NYC water + No leakages
I was afraid of leaking tap based on previous reviews. Been using the filter for a month now - no such issue. The water quality has definitely changed. It tastes a lot like Fiji bottled water now - crisp yet filled with minerals. I was using Britta filter earlier and the water tasted "heavy". LifeStraw stands up to its reputation.

Peace of Mind!
We had well water that was contaminated, so we switched to city. Then we found out how many chemicals and toxins there were in the city water. Finding LifeStraw filtration was a great solution. This container easily fits in out fridge, filters rather quickly and we stopped buying water in plastic jugs! I know now that our water is truly safe to consume and cook with!

Happily Drinking our PFAS-free Water!
We are so happy to have found LifeStraw! This is the best move my household has made in a long while. PFAS has only recently come on our radar and, though it seems it is still being downplayed, I don't think it is going to hurt us to try to minimize our intake of it. AND potential bacteria and hexavalent chromium. . . the latter is actually in our local water, etc. Our water from our LifeStraw dispenser. . . honestly? It tastes like our Brita filtered water took a bath. It is crisp. It is light. And it tastes beautifully clean. We love it! And we have two recent graduates in our extended family that are off to college; we will be gifting them LifeStraw for their tiny, dorm room living! We also appreciate that it is NSF Certified and a B Corp!!

It broke already
I had this 1. 5 years before it randomly just broke. It was too much money to have it last only that amount of time. The piece broke and will not stay on now. Also, I didn’t like the functionality of the button, the kids found it hard to use. It needs more of a spigot type to pull.
