The “order of operations” of taking these are important! I’ve learned: take pill in the morning with water, drink my coffee, and then eat a full meal = no nausea. I’ve tried other times of day, but this seems to work the best. Hope this helps another mama to be :)

They cover all the basic needs in a prenatal except kinda low on the calcium amounts. The taste is kinda bad tho so I take it at night after eating before bed to help with my nausea

I’m happy with these prenatals. The price is right, which is a big deal for me. Other brands (even expensive ones) have given me tummy aches, increased nausea, or given me a niacin flush, which I hate! Only one daily, that’s a plus.

I had bought two containers of the 90 count while I was pregnant and had to get more once my son was a month old. My husband bought another 90 count that had a new look. (Both purchases were also from the same store.) However, the new look also contained gelatin in it which was not in the original ingredients before. I try to stay clear of items that have gelatin (unless it's vegetable/Kosher gelatin), so I'm glad that I caught this. Just a word of caution for those who do not consume gelatin; make sure that you check the label of the specific container that you plan on buying.

Great Prenatal for pregnant and breastfeeding moms

I have taken this prenatal vitamin continually since TTC in 2007, through pregnancy, and 2yrs,4mo of breastfeeding our completely healthy son. I continue to take this or the version that includes DHA as we are expecting again. Both NM Prenatal vitalmins have been approved of by my doctors and midwife. (While I had bad morning sickness and couldn't keep this down, they recommended chewable Flintstones/similar which did the trick until I did better.)(I take extra folic acid (per professional advice) due to a family history of spina bifida.) I'm glad to only have to take one prenatal a day besides my extra folic acid.

TTC and frustrated - 13 years ago
I was taking another brand of pre-natal vitamins that required me to take 3 pre-natal vitamins in the morning and 3 at night; with food. I don't like swallowing big horse pills as it is, so 6 was just too much and I eventually stopped taking them. A friend of mine told me about this brand and that I only had to take one a day. I just read an article (I pasted it below) stating that 41mg/day of iron helps with infertility problems. This brand only has 20 something so I'm going to find out if it would be ok to take 2; just for a little added boost. In a study published in Obstetrics & Gynecology, researchers gathered information on more than 18,000 women, ages 24 to 42, who were trying to conceive. After examining eight years of follow-up data, researchers noted more than 3,500 cases of infertility. Of those cases, 438 were found to have an inability to produce viable eggs (a condition known as ovulatory infertility). The surprising finding was that women who took iron supplements had, on average, 40 percent less risk of ovulatory infertility than those who did not. And, the higher the dose, the lower the risk. In fact, women who took the highest doses more than 41 milligrams a day decreased their risk by 62 percent. The study's lead author, a research fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health, says more research is needed before he would universally recommend iron supplements as an aid for women who are trying to conceive. But it is very possible that pumping iron can help, he concedes.
