Q: Is this detergent also good for colors? In Germany, Persil sells a separate color detergent (Megapers Colors). Are the ingredients the same as in Germany?

    HORRIBLE- BUYER BEWARE

    This is by far the worst detergent ever. I’ll preface this by saying we have a brand new washer and dryer. I had heard amazing things about this laundry detergent about getting clothes clean and smelling great, so I decided to try it. I have a career that requires me to work outside year round, so obviously in the summer months I sweat more than the rest of the year. I am a healthy, active, younger woman, and don’t have extreme BO. I do not know what is wrong with this detergent, but my clothes smell worse AFTER it is washed and dried from a long days worth of work. I went as far as adding enzyme powder to my wash each load. Nope— my clothes smell like a hockey gym bag. I have washed my clothes in cold, warm, and hot water and nothing changes or helps with the smell. I have used full cap fulls of detergent on smaller loads. Still smells bad. I cannot believe all the positive reviews on this product. This detergent is a complete waste of money and wasted of electricity and water to run a cycle. I’ve never been more displeased. There is zero clean scent and my clothes don’t feel that clean afterwards. At first I thought I was possibly nose blind to the scent, but my partner even said my clothes don’t smell good (we use different detergents). Absolutely, do not waste your money on this and buy a different brand. I went back to my old trusty brand that rhymes with rain. Absolutely would not use this ever again, even if it was the only detergent left on the planet.

    What happened?!

    Long time Persil Original user (15+ years). This new formula smells worse than sour clothes! I can’t stand to be around it! I kept wondering why everything suddenly smelled sour and like fake fruity body spray— someone else said porta potty, and YEAH I can definitely see the comparison to a urinal cake. This is awful. The clothes aren’t clean and the smell has driven me away. What HAPPENED?!!!?!? Persil used to be the freshest, cleanest smelling product on the market!!!

    New formula caused horrible rash all over my body

    I was long time Persil user but their new "Triple Care" formula has given me a rash/hives from the neck down. Once I noticed the new wording on the detergent bottle, I ran a cleaning cycle on my washer and wiped out the inside of my dryer. Then I re-laundered EVERYTHING in my house w/ no detergent + extra rinse cycle + citirc acid in the softener drawer. Then I re-laundered everything with free and clear detergent. The rash--which has presisted for a week--now seems to be going away.

    Quality does down while the price goes up

    What is happening to Persil? This new triple care product is watery, smells cheap and fruity. The clothes feel like there is a film and it leaves a musty smell like it wasn’t thoroughly clean. I wasn’t a fan of the 2025 Original formula but this is even worse. I think it’s time to go back to Tide!!!

    Not a fan anymore

    New Scent is awful. I switched from Tide to Persil about 3 years ago because of the scent and how great it washes. My last bottle I didn’t realize it was a new formula. It smells so cheap like arm & hammer. Not a fan.

    Dont fix what isn't broken-Review for Persil, not related to Target.

    Oh Persil, why did you have to go and change such a wonderful thing? Persil has been my favorite for quite some time. The deep clean version was my favorite. With the Triple Care, I immediately noticed something was not right. It is watered down, doesn’t create suds like the original during the wash, and doesn’t smell great. The clothes don’t seem to get near as clean, and don’t even try it with the dog blankets. Persil Deep Clean used to be my go to for all types of laundry. Until they offer the Deep Clean as an option, I guess I’m back to searching for something else that works. Please listen to your customer base Persil.

    Horrible new “original” formula

    I used to LOVE your product but my your new “original” is just awful. Your fragrance used to be light and fresh but now your fragrance is overpowering. It now triggers migraines for me with its scent, its caustic, strong, and fake smelling. I have been unable to remove the scent from my clothes even after washing them 3times with another detergent. I can not stand the scent it is horrible and I feel like it’s ruin my clothing. Your new formula also leaves behind a greasy residue on the clothes. Your product was my favorite now I won’t touch it. It’s just awful now.

    Smells like a porta potty

    I came here to do some research and it appears I’m not alone. The smell of this new triple act detergent is repulsive and smells like a porta potty. I’m so upset, I switched to this brand specifically after I got covid 6 years ago because it was one of the few that didn’t smell terrible to me…but now, here we are. Sad, disheartened, and returning the 2 jugs I bought because silly me thought there was something wrong with the first one.

    TripleCare Original is a top tier performer!

    I’ve been using Persil since it was introduced to the USA in 2015. It always works great for me and this latest TripleCare version is no different. I care about general stain removal but color preservation and fabric care is also important to me. I’ve read that the scent of the new TripleCare Original version is not being received well but I like it. It’s very strong while washing but is just a subtle scent in my laundry once it comes out of the dryer.

    New Formula SUCKS!!!

    The new formula and scent is awful! I can smell it throughout the house while washing and it smells strong and cheap. It is nauseating and gives me a headache. The soap itself is watery. Persil went the way of Dawn and ruined a perfect thing.

    HORRIBLE , WATERY, AWFUL SCENT Why would you change a good thing? It’s watered down to the point that I literally thought someone added water to it and it’s so bubbly, not sure it’s so great for front load machines!
