Please note that this detergent is not a disinfectant and is not specifically formulated to kill bacteria. If disinfection is your primary concern, you may want to consider a laundry sanitizer product in addition to your detergent.
Regarding fragrance, this product is not fragrance-free. It contains Persil's Original scent, so it may not be the best choice if you are extremely sensitive to fragrances

New formula caused horrible rash all over my body
I was long time Persil user but their new "Triple Care" formula has given me a rash/hives from the neck down. Once I noticed the new wording on the detergent bottle, I ran a cleaning cycle on my washer and wiped out the inside of my dryer. Then I re-laundered EVERYTHING in my house w/ no detergent + extra rinse cycle + citirc acid in the softener drawer. Then I re-laundered everything with free and clear detergent. The rash--which has presisted for a week--now seems to be going away.

New Scent is awful. I switched from Tide to Persil about 3 years ago because of the scent and how great it washes. My last bottle I didn’t realize it was a new formula. It smells so cheap like arm & hammer. Not a fan.

Dont fix what isn't broken-Review for Persil, not related to Target.
Oh Persil, why did you have to go and change such a wonderful thing? Persil has been my favorite for quite some time. The deep clean version was my favorite. With the Triple Care, I immediately noticed something was not right. It is watered down, doesn’t create suds like the original during the wash, and doesn’t smell great. The clothes don’t seem to get near as clean, and don’t even try it with the dog blankets. Persil Deep Clean used to be my go to for all types of laundry. Until they offer the Deep Clean as an option, I guess I’m back to searching for something else that works. Please listen to your customer base Persil.

Horrible new “original” formula
I used to LOVE your product but my your new “original” is just awful. Your fragrance used to be light and fresh but now your fragrance is overpowering. It now triggers migraines for me with its scent, its caustic, strong, and fake smelling. I have been unable to remove the scent from my clothes even after washing them 3times with another detergent. I can not stand the scent it is horrible and I feel like it’s ruin my clothing. Your new formula also leaves behind a greasy residue on the clothes. Your product was my favorite now I won’t touch it. It’s just awful now.

Smells like a porta potty
I came here to do some research and it appears I’m not alone. The smell of this new triple act detergent is repulsive and smells like a porta potty. I’m so upset, I switched to this brand specifically after I got covid 6 years ago because it was one of the few that didn’t smell terrible to me…but now, here we are. Sad, disheartened, and returning the 2 jugs I bought because silly me thought there was something wrong with the first one.

TripleCare Original is a top tier performer!
I’ve been using Persil since it was introduced to the USA in 2015. It always works great for me and this latest TripleCare version is no different. I care about general stain removal but color preservation and fabric care is also important to me. I’ve read that the scent of the new TripleCare Original version is not being received well but I like it. It’s very strong while washing but is just a subtle scent in my laundry once it comes out of the dryer.

New Formula SUCKS!!!
The new formula and scent is awful! I can smell it throughout the house while washing and it smells strong and cheap. It is nauseating and gives me a headache. The soap itself is watery. Persil went the way of Dawn and ruined a perfect thing.

Very Upset!
I just restocked my Persil Original that I've used for years. I switched to Persil from another brand because that brand changed their formula, and I couldn't stand the new smell. Well, here we go again. This new formula reeks! It smells like the gross laundermat I have to go to when I need to wash large items. That's the smell of old, rancid, goopy detergent that has likely been building up in the washers since they opened. Why must companies these days always change a good thing? I'll now have to return the jugs I bought and look for yet another brand. I'm sorry for the negativity, but I'm so sick of being loyal to a product only to have it changed for the worse. It amazes me that companies pay people to ruin their products.

Reformulation = terrible fragrance & a terrible headache.
The new fragrance is terrible. Seriously, why do companies keep doing this? Why do companies insist on changing the fragrance or formulation of their products to save what’s likely fractions of a cent? I switched to Persil when the orange bottle detergent reformulated after having grown up using it. I had to switch my blue duckling dish liquid after they reformulated their fragrance after it serving as a household staple (for generations) in our family, and next it was our famous floating bath soap — which now no longer floats and leaves you covered in a strange film. Not everything needs to be new and exciting, sometimes reliability and familiarity mean a whole heck of a lot more than the corporate wonks think it does. There’s my fraction of a cent.

New Scent SMELLS BAD!
Not a fan of the new scent. Caught me offguard. I couldn't figure out the smell, then I started smelling our clothes and realized it was the detergent. Gross! I loved the original/previous scent. Awful formula change
The new formula is TERRIBLE!! The new scent is atrocious. The detergent is thinner and soapy?? I noticed it leaves detergent stains after coming out of the drier now. I’ve been buying Persil for years and now I will not be buying again. So disappointing.
