Not sure why the original fragrance has been altered, but it needs to be changed back!! This new daily silk fragrance is awful!! It stinks!! Please change it back!! Why do companies always have to mess with a good thing??!

I really hate your new scent for caress. I used this soap basically all my life and now i have to find a new soap. Please bring the original scent back

It is marketed as a moisturizing soap designed to leave skin feeling silky and soft. However, this product is not for me. For some reason, bar soaps tend to break me out, and this one was no exception. While the scent is pleasant, the skin reaction means I can't personally use or recommend it.

Why did you change the bar soap? I loved the smell the way it’s always been. Now it just smells like soap. Please go back to the original scent because it smells so much better and stronger.

Why did you change the formulation? I've used this soap for over 30 years. Nice mild scent and left my skin feeling moisturized. Now the scent is overpowering and my skin feels completely dried out. It was perfect as it was. I just bought the 16 pack and they are going in the trash.

NEW SCENT I have been using Caress Bar Soap and have used it for many years. The new scent is terrible. As another commentor mentioned its so bad and overpowering they had to throw it away. Well so did I, unfortunately i purchased 4 x 16 bar packages, so 64 bars into garbage. Could not return them. Please bring back the original formula.

Dear Caress Team, I am writing as a lifelong customer of your Original Scent bar soap. I have used this soap since I was a little girl. The scent is deeply nostalgic for me and reminds me of my grandmother, who used Caress long before I was born. My grandmother has since passed, and in a very real and personal way, that familiar scent brought me comfort. It was one of the small, meaningful connections I still had to her. For my family and me, this was never just soap, it was part of our memories and traditions. Recently, I searched several stores trying to find the Original Scent, only to discover that the formula has changed. Unfortunately, the scent is no longer the same, and the texture feels different as well. The soap now leaves a sticky feeling when rinsing, which I do not enjoy at all. I understand that companies evolve products over time, but this change has been truly heartbreaking for me. My family and I have been loyal customers for many years, and I wanted you to know how much the original formula meant to us. If there is any possibility of bringing back the original scent and formula even as a limited or “classic” edition I know there are many longtime customers who would deeply appreciate it. The new smell is horrible. The soap dries my skin. My skin burns around the neck and breast area after using. My cat will not come near me after using caress. She hates the smell. Please go back to the old formula!! It had a wonderful smell and it did not dry or burn my skin.

this used to be 5 stars for me and they changed the scent. It smells like a feminine baterial infection to me now

I've been using Caress for a long time. And I was used to its subtle, classy scent. Now, the new scent smells cheap, unpolished and artificial. It really is as strong as other customers suggest, and it's really unpleasant. I would love for the company to reconsider this. Otherwise, we should stick with Dove for the rest of our lives. The new scent smells like a spoiled caress scent.

It would probably be a bit strong for a sensitive nose. It creates a great lather that effectively cleans. Leaves a light scent on the skin. I would definitely continue using this with my floral perfumes. The item holds up well in a soap holder in the shower.

To the Customer Service Team at Unilever, I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the recent formula change to the Caress Daily Silk bar soap. My family and I have been loyal customers for many years, relying on the original formula for its unique creaminess, superior glide, and skin-softening properties. However, the new version is of extremely poor quality. Since the change, the soap no longer glides on the skin, it causes significant dryness and irritation, and the overall experience is subpar. It is clear that the transition from a tallow-based formula to a palm-oil-based one has ruined what used to be a perfect product. I want to state clearly that I will no longer be purchasing Caress soap. Furthermore, I have no intention of replacing it with any other Unilever brand (such as Dove or Lever 2000), as I have lost trust in your company’s commitment to quality. The only way I would ever consider returning to this brand is if you bring back the original "Daily Silk" formula and scent that we loved for decades. Until then, I will be taking my business to other companies that still prioritize high-quality ingredients and customer satisfaction. Sincerely,

I haven’t really used bar soap in a long time, because I always see it as less convenient or harder to travel with, but I really like this particular one. The formula is creamy and luxurious. Some people may not like this, but my skin still felt soft the following day after using, as if there was a thin film around the skin, keeping it hydrated. The scent is sweet and fruity, but nothing ostentatious.
