O wow!! Matches me perfectly. Which never happens. I have a honey colored indigenous skin . Super hard to match. Also it controls shine and lasts all day. Unbelievable

I am 77 and have tried many different foundation makeups. This is by far the best I have used. It is so light and makes my skin feel dewy and hydrated. Love this product.

Bought over a year ago... I work remotely and this is the perfect daily no makeup makeup for daily life. Please don't ever discontinued it!

Major breakout after several uses. At first I was very impressed and thinking, “ I’ve found my new everyday foundation”, as I thought the color blending was good and it didn’t seem to cake or dry out my skin. But after several uses, I had some atypical breakouts and at first I didn’t make the connection. But after multiple uses and horrific breakouts, even on my eyelid and earlobe, I have come to the conclusion that this product doesn’t agree with me. I wish it had because I really did think the color matching was good and the product felt light and comfortable on my skin. I tend to have slightly sensitive skin, but this extreme breakout is like nothing I’ve experienced in my adult years. This reminds me of horrible teenage acne when I wasn’t as diligent at washing my face and I routinely went to bed with a face full of makeup and I wore heavy foundation. Anyway, my hormones are not raging, I have good skin care, have no history of any breakouts as such in recent years, so the only think I can attribute this to is adding this product to my beauty regimen. I’m glad to hear others are not breaking out as I have, because I really did like the product until my whole face had these breakouts. I wont include pic of the breakout, It’s too embarrassing to look like this

Don’t believe negative reviews. I have tried everything, liquid, sheer tints, baked, mineral powder, and I keep reaching for my Almay smart shade light. The coverage is beautiful. It’s hydrating. It stays and stays and stays. It really is the best I’ve used and I am very happy with it. I hope they don’t discontinue it.

I double-checked the almost identical My Best Light foundation I bought earlier this year, and Almay apparently dropped the Anti-Aging version of this same product. Very, very disappointed. This summer, I bought Almay's Smart Shade, Anti-Aging, Skintone Matching foundation w/SPF 15. I used Neutrogena's high SPF suncreen underneath, and this foundation, with the anti-aging feature seemed like it protected my skin better. I have long commutes, plus at times work outside, so, I felt this product with the Anti-Aging was valuable to me as a customer. So, while I love this product, I am very disappointed Almay would drop the anti-aging version. Most *all* of us over 30 appreciate an anti-aging feature! The product blends in well, stays all day, and provides protection from sun's rays.

I owned this a couple years ago and thought it was great. Coverage is decent and there isn't a white cast if blended thoroughly. Re-bought this week and it ended up making my skin dry and scaly. It feels tight, like maybe it's dehydrating, and then the spread doesn't look as seamless as it used to. I ended up feeling like I had irritation on my forehead and around my jaw from this.

Did not make me break out, which is always a plus, and lasts a decent while, but this is really bad for people with cool undertones in their skin. I looked grossly orange in this. If you have warm tones, though, I'd reccomend trying this out

I’ve tried many light weight foundations.i won’t go anywhere without makeup (I’m 57) I’d wear my expensive full coverage all the time because I couldn’t find a light weight inexpensive one that covered and stayed on.well for all you girls that are like me (feel naked with no makeup)this is the best ever!going to the gym,the post office,dropping the kids off whatever you’re doing!keep your expensive makeup for special occasions!💃🏼this goes on so easy and covers my dark spots but is still a light weight daily foundation…also I wear contacts and this is so light I can put it all over my eyes and eyelids and it doesn’t bother them.most foundations bother my eyes I’m very sensitive.love this product!

I loved this product both times I used it. However, it is Not hypoallergenic. And I am fed up with products claiming they are, especially makeup. Within a couple hours my face got red, and swollen. My under eye, eyelids, eye brows and forehead swelled up. And it felt like I had gotten a sunburn. The first time I used it and it happened I attributed to something else. But this second time, there was nothing I ate nor changed in my environment and the same thing happened. My histamine level is thru the roof and I feel slightly anaphylactic. This happens with almost all brands of makeup, on me. But I have used Almay for years, hoping to get a good experience. Nope. And this has been the worst.

I liked the texture of this product, but the color was totally off. I am normally a light shade, but this was too orange. Had to return it.

I tried it a few times but ended up throwing it out. The formula is so thick and sticky compared to similar products I have tried. It looks cakey on my skin and seeps into fine lines. Also not the best color matching.

Don't believe any negative reviews. I'm a big fan and loyal customer. I've been blessed sensitive skin and a skin tone that is not easy to match. I've tried many different brands - everything from high-end to drugstore to dollar store. Smart Shade, Light Medium Mine is my go-to everyday foundation because it provides just enough coverage to improve the look of my skin and it adjusts to match perfectly. I have very dark under eye circles. The light/medium coverage is buildable so I dot on a second pass as a prep for under eye concealer. There's no creasing, cracking and it wears well all day. I've recommended Smart Shade to several friends who have complimented my skin and are as picky about foundations as I am. It's a great product and especially good when packing light for traveling.

I purchased this product hoping that it would be exactly what I wanted. I was so very wrong! This product turned orange reminiscent of the foundations in the 80’s. It was awful. I looked like an oompah loompah. In addition to this, it felt sticky and heavy on my skin.

I have vitiligo and intensely sensitive skin, so I'm always skeptical when I'm trying new cosmetics. I'm very impressed with Smart Shade. It doesn't hide the vitiligo, I don't think anything really does, but it definitely softens the edges of the patches and covers redness well on my not-yet-affected areas of skin. Picture is showing how it looks on my wrist to hand, my whole hand is vitiligo covered, for what it's covering, it's doing a good job. I like that it's not glaringly obvious on the vitiligo patches, just gives them a little boost of color.
