Use Step 1 to deep clean the surface of your teeth for one minute, then spit, but do not rinse. Immediately use step 2 to polish and whiten your teeth for an additional minute.     Sensitivity warning!

    I bought this product three days ago and the first time I used it. It seemed fine and my teeth felt really clean. The second use tingled and stung my gums and it hurt to rinse. I checked my gums after and they were white! That lasted for several hours when they slowly returned to close to normal colour but the surface tissue was damaged. They are now still very tender a day later and my gums are too sore for me to brush my teeth. I can’t risk using the product again and I don’t know what to do other than rinse my mouth with warm salt water…..

    Wouldn’t recommend for sensitive teeth

    Super easy to use and rinse out. Can leave a little bit of a grainy feeling if not rinsed fully. I saw results soon after using but it caused some sensitivity.

    Works, but can get painfully sensitive if left too

    I tried the Crest 3D White Brilliance 2 Step system because I wanted something easy that could brighten my teeth without strips. The whitening effect is definitely there — even after a few uses I noticed my smile looked a little brighter. BUT… I also noticed that if I left Step 2 on even a tiny bit longer than the instructions, I got a sharp “zing” feeling, almost like instant sensitivity. It wasn’t unbearable, but it was enough to make me nervous because it felt like the start of real tooth sensitivity. So now I only use it for a very short time and not every day. If you have teeth that get sensitive easily, be careful with how long you leave Step 2 on. It works, but you definitely have to follow the timing closely.
