dont buy a protection plan at Target
If an item is returned unopened then the protection plan should be refunded. At the very minimum they should explain this BEFORE a purchase is made.

Worthless
Absolutely worthless. They refused to help me. Allstate demanded I exchange in the store because it was 30 days since purchase even though it had actually been 32 days. They tried to get me to call the manufacturer. Anything so they wouldn’t have to spend a dime.

Absolutely zero help. Frozen car stopped working after only 6 months. I filed a claim and was sent a clearly used battery (which we had replaced on our own prior to making the claim and it still didn’t work) and motor in a regular padded envelope with no box, receipt, or instructions. The manual doesn’t even identify the motor so I have no clue how I’m supposed to just know how to take everything apart and replace it. After calling again I was told the company was bought and they ‘aren’t responsible for refunds’.

Didn't have to use this protection plan because I returned the items right away because I ordered the wrong scooters. Problem is I can't be refunded the cost of the Protection Plan, only the scooters. I had to buy a new plan for the new scooters. That's $22 gone. Buyers, just be sure of your purchase.

Highly recommend
I purchased SquareTrade when I purchased a blender from Target. A few months later, blender broke and the manufacturer wanted me to pay more than half of the cost of the blender in parts just to fix it. Luckily, SquareTrade was able to resolve this issue and sent me a check for the cost of the blender and I was able to use that money towards a new blender! I highly recommend getting this plan on appliances, it is worth it.

i was gratetful i purchased square trade protection plan for my son's nintendo ds. i never expect i will be needing it after a year of my purchased. but truly grateful i did. after a year of service the sd reader displayed error. went to check on my email and found square trade protection plan. it only took me 5mins with square trade customer service and got my check in 4days. i would recommend square trade for every protection plan you need. they give you 2 year warranty. awesome!!!
