colors do not come out for the one that is chosen
This item was really cool at first, but then after the first use the colors seem to all seem to be blending together. They light lights up to the color that is chosen but then on paper its all the colors together. Very disappointing. I had high hopes for this item.

Like traditional paints, the colors will blend if the brush isn't cleaned before moving on to another color. When you are ready for the next color, wipe the brush on a dry paper towel. You can also clean the brush with soap and water, but allow it to fully dry before painting again. Very similar experience to all the other 1 stars. Worked for one day and now dried out and dull. My kid went through the 18 pages in one day — don’t recommend unless you enjoy a frustrated toddler.

Dries out /runs out, colors don't stay their color
Bought 3 of these for my 3 kids for Christmas it's now January 15th so only 10 days later and the "clear paint" is already practically run out even though we always put covers on when not using. And the colors are not transferring to paper the color they should be anymore as if using the paint brush in other clear paints has permanently caused the colors to mix. Like yellow shows up as brown now for example. Spent alot of money on 3 of these and 3 packs of refill paper for nothing. Can hardly get any color on the brushes to paint even a solid line onto paper. I have 3 kids ages 2, 2, and .And these sets have just made them frustrated.

Easy cleanup and works well
As an adult who bought this product to use for fun I’m genuinely shocked seeing other people’s experiences in the reviews I’ve used this for multiple hours at a time and have had no issue with the paints drying out just make sure you or child’s saturating the brush fully and properly closing the lid on the paints when not in use the only “downside” I’ve experienced is the images expanding after a few days other than that it really is a quick easy way to paint when ur in the mood for a low effort minimal clean up activity :)

Broken after 2 weeks
Disappointed with this product, my 3 year old got it for Christmas and it is broken already. The colour brush is leaking and there are no definite colours on the page, it's just a pink/purple colour. I would like someone to get in touch with me to discuss a replacement.

Y'all, ready the instructions!
Obviously many people don’t read instructions. Certain colors, such as yellow, is not coming out as yellow because it recommends you wipe the brush between color uses. The colors mix just like a regular paint if you don’t clean the brush. You honestly don’t even need batteries to play with this so the batteries also have nothing to do with the colors or anything. It’s just a fun feature to add “magic” and wonder to it.

So disappointed! My 3yo absolutely loved it, but in days the paint pads got so dry- she didnt get 3 days of use. NOT worth it for the price paid. I expected better from Crayola.
