Learning Resources Barnyard Friends Build & Spin - Toddler Sensory Toys, Ages 2+

My kiddo LOVES this toy! You can play with it in so many ways. The animal pieces can be pulled off of the gears, and you can rearrange the gears in different patterns. The pieces are chunky and easily manipulated by small hands.

I purchased this anticipating that I would use it with the littlest ones on my caseload only; however, the first day I had it with me a 6 year old asked to play with it and he loved it. I started using it with more of my 4 and 5 year olds, everyone has loved it. I can elicit a lot of functional language while playing with this toy! I'm very happy that I have it.

I bought this set because I could not find a suitable puzzle for my 18-month old grandsons. I am so glad I did, because I not only got a first-class quality puzzle, I also got an early introduction to gears and how they function together. All pieces are washable and interchangeable. The pleasant, cartoon-like animal puzzle pieces add to the fun of farm animal recognition. The barn handle used for spinning the gears was warped and splitting due to a manufacturer's defect, but the great people at Learning Resources gladly sent me a new set. I really like the design of this playset! Both my grandsons tried to dump the gears off by turning it over and it didn't work. Unlike a puzzle, the gears have to be pulled off one by one. Both my grandsons quickly learned how to do that and one was able to put the gears back on. I love toys that teach and am delighted with my purchase! Good intro to gears for young children. I find that my 28 month preferred his older brothers gears over these, would probably just order him his own set of the other gears next time.

Animal noise and names can be a good practice while playing with my kid and also color identification and coordination. My 2 year old has had a lot of fun with this toy. And i got to know about the brand also

He's almost 26 months and has recently taken interest in the noises animals make even though he's always been an avid animal lover. This toy seems to generate a lot of interest while being educational and fun. I definitely recommend this toy.

The different shades of colored materials, make the product even super awesome. My 26-month son and even my 13-month daughter are extremely amazed. They get to learn different Farm animals with lot of fun at the tip of the finger. The only Con is that some of the animals do not fit in well,aside that the product is great.Highly recommend for all toddler mothers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my daughter loved this especially because her favorite nursery rhyme is old McDonald had a farm so now she wants me to sing the nursery rhyme while she spins the wheels. the only problem i had was that i felt that the edges of the red base should be more smooth
