I don’t often do reviews but this really deserves one! I was skeptical as to whether this vacuum would meet my expectations, but it far exceeded them! It has superb suction and maneuverability, easy to use and understand all its features. I highly recommend this vacuum!!

Solid vacuum, solid company
As pet owners (2 dogs and a cat) the Stratos was what we needed. It picks up all the dust and hair they generate. On top of that, Shark stood behind their product 100% when we had an issue. I would definitely buy this one again.

They shortened the electric cord removed the light on the handle not happy !

SHARK STRATOS VACUUM CLEANER
II have owed a Dyson for 30 years. It still works, I just felt like it was time to get a new one for the new technology and increased power. I looked at Dyson which only had BALLS and STICKS Vacs. They no longer made the model that I owned and loved. I purchased a HIGH END DYSON BALL VAC and hated it!! No power , flimsy and cheaply made....also way too heavy~. I was very disappointed in Dyson and knew I was going to have to make a change. I looked at reviews for all upright vacs and purchased the SHARK STRATOS. I LOVE IT!!! BEST VACUUM I COULD EVER OWN....I vacuumed my the area rug in my livingroom and the dust canister fill up to the top! I had not been getting this result with my Dyson...I was shocked! I love vacuuming my house now because I know it is getting CLEAN and DEODORIZED! It is also self-propelled and easy to maneuver. I am SOOOO Glad I FOUND THIS VACUUM!!!! LOVE IT!!!! THIS IS THE FIRST PRODUCT REVIEW I I HAVE EVER SUBMITTED BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

They ruined the design
Whoever designed this doesn't use a vaccuum. I purchased this to replace an old Shark vaccuum I had and it has the most awkward placement of buttons. Nothing is intuitive. It's like they decided to move their release levers around for no good reason. You have to guess what button does what action because they aren't in a logical location. The cup release button is no longer on top of the cup near the cup handle. That location is where you know find the lift-away button, which makes no sense whatsoever! And when you use the wand features and put them back they don't stay in place. The latches securing them barely work. I've had the whole vacuum suddenly break into 3 pieces while I was using it in standard mode. The light only works when you are vaccuuming the floor. There is no light on the wand. That used to be a grwat feature they had on thier vaccuums. No more! The cord storage gets in the way of the cannister when removing it or putting it back on. They could've moved it a quarter inch and it would be so much better. The handle release is no longer on the front of the handle. It's a large awkward button the back, not easy to use without two hands. If I could return it I would! Swearing off Shark after this fiasco. The only good thing about it is the new roller. Suction is OK but doesn't make up for the other poor design features.

Buy it!!! Could not believe the amount of hair and dirt that was picked up after one use! I love how it can come apart with ease for handheld use. The switch to change from carpet to bare floor is at the top so very easy to interchange. My hair does not get stuck in brush roll as other vacuums have in the past. Was hesitant to buy because of the price but we do not regret purchasing. Best vacuum I’ve ever had.

Great overall powerful vacuum.
Great shark vacuum as always with one small downside. I wish it had the light on the handle when you disconnect the hand piece or the wand. My old shark had this feature and I loved it. If it wasn’t for the lack of that light it would be 5 star.

Powerful Vacuum!
I got this for our new home that had new carpeting laid throughout. I was so shocked the amount of dust and fuzz/loose fibers this vacuum pulled out. I am excited to try out the attachments soon as well. Great suction and the brush roll truly does not get hair wrapped around it.

Great vacuum
The recent shark stratos purchase we made turned out great. We've tried many other top name vacuums and the shark puts the other brands to shame. I've read reviews for shark that weren't great, but if a person reads the included directions there's no reason not to love this vacuum.

Best Vacuum to own
I am thoroughly happy with the Shark Stratos vacuum. I have owned a few different brands of vacuums from other companies but they don't compare with the Stratos. I am happy to have it. I have pets and it does a fantastic job getting the pet hair. Very strong suction to reach areas I can't with the extensions. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone needing a vacuum. Would be an awesome wedding gift or housewarming gift.

Stratos is the only good one.
The stratos vaccume is amazing. This was my last effort with shark. I have the detect, and the rotator as well. And both the detect and the rotator do not perform well at all. My first shark was the duo clean and was amazing until it finally gave out. We have Labrador dogs and need a vaccume that works. So save your money and buy the stratos first and you will be happy. The detect, and rotator are a waste of time if you need a vacccume that works well. I now have 3 new sharks and only one that works as it should. Beware.

Great vacuum but not as good as my previous Shark
I loved my previous Shark vacuum and hoped a new one would be just as great. Unfortunately, my new Stratos Upright is a great vacuum, but not as great as my last one. The new Stratos could certainly use a few improvements. The cord is shorter, the wand lever is difficult to push down to release the wand, and it needs some heavy force to secure it back in the holder, which is annoying. The wand is also lacking the light at the end which my previous model had. The turning radius ability is lacking compared to my previous Shark and it is a bit heavy. For these reasons, it only received 4 stars. On a good note, it was very easy to assemble. The suction is great! And just like my last Shark, I love the lift-away ability. I haven't had it long enough to comment on the Hair Pro brush roll. Hoping it lasts as long as my last Shark which we had for about 15 years.
